Today I got a glimpse of strong emotion from my brother who, most of the time, only expresses joy or fear of getting in trouble. He had one of his best friends die on New Years Eve. He found out yesterday when he went back to work. This friend was a constant to him and he loved her. We never knew to what extent until this week. He was having a 'phone conversation' (he carries around play phones and talks to people on them. He thinks it's real and who are we to disillusion a happy 5 year old) and called his job couch so she could get Heaven on the line so he could speak to this friend. The conversation was so touching. I have NEVER heard him speak so sad or so grown up. He kept telling her he would let her go back to Jesus and being in Heaven but that he couldn't wait to be in the temple with her and that he couldn't wait to be done with their missions and how much he missed her. He actually got choked up when he was telling her how much he missed her but he knew she needed to spend time with Jesus now. That little moment that the Lord let me be witness to was very sweet. I am grateful He gave me that moment to see a little into my brother's soul.
God Loves You!
Heather
