Day 58 of 2015

The Lord have me an amazing dad. He tries his best to take care of his children. He has always been good to me. Today he fixed some candle stick holders of mine. He had to weld them back together. Not an easy task. He never complained and did an excellent job. I am grateful the Lord gave him the talent and that my dad shared it with me. I will use these for many years and hope to pass them on so my children may do the same.

Day 57 of 2015

Modern medicine.  Today my oldest was diagnosed with strep and I have an eye infection.  Without modern medicine these two easily treatable problems could potentially take my little one's life and my eye sight.  I'm grateful that God has inspired men and women to develop these wonderful helps.

Day 56 of 2015

I was prompted by the Spirit to ask my son about his day. It turned into a really good conversation, I think, about our eternal importance to each other and to the Lord. We talked about name calling and how it does not effect our worth if someone else teases us. I felt the Spirit and know that I was meant to talk to him about it to help him today. I am grateful for the parenting helps from the Lord.

Day 55 of 2015

Today the Lord, through the Holy Ghost, bore witness to me that I am doing alright. I make mistakes, I do dumb things and I can be difficult sometimes but I am trying. He let me know that He knows I am trying and as long as I continue to try and as long as I continue to use the atonement in my life I will be just fine. It is nice every once and a while to get a thumbs up from the Lord. I may not be doing anything grand or special but I am still special to Him.

Today I got everything done that I needed to. I am so grateful when the Lord helps me to be able to prioritize my time and multi task to get a lot done, especially with my memory and my high distractablity. It's a miracle most days that the Lord can keep me on task. I am very grateful for Him helping me to focus and to be efficient.

Today I was able to spend a lot of time with my family. I love Sunday's for that reason. It is one of the reasons the Lord blessed the sabbath and made it holy. We get to spend it with family and not worry about work. I am so grateful the Lord set aside days like this. They are what keeps a family together.

Today I stayed calm while driving on the freeway at night. I hate driving and I hate freeway driving and I hate freeway driving at night the most. If I am not careful it sends me into a panic attack. The Lord was with me and kept me calm so I could pick RJ up from the airport. I am very grateful for His comforting Spirit.

Day 51 of 2015

I was given inspiration and my mouth was filled with what to say when having a conversation with my oldest. She is getting older and so there are more and more entertainment choices that will hurt her spiritually. Having talks about why they are bad and the lasting effects they could have are hard for someone so young to understand. I am grateful the Lord knows my daughter and knows what to have me say that will help her understand. It might not all sink in right away but I know I am planting seeds to help her make good choices later and I only could do so with the help of the Lord.

Today I was able to exercise. I thought I wasn't going to be able to fit it in but the Lord gave me an hour and a nudge and I got it done. I am so grateful the Lord knows how much better I feel if I get the chance to and I am grateful He is my best motivator. He truly knows me and what will make me happy and feel good.

My poor little man has another ear infection. He was up all night in pain. He was given a blessing and the Lord fulfilled the blessing today by giving him relief from the pressure, he is on an antibiotic and he got to stay home and play Link all day on MY DS. I felt that bad for him, yes. He is doing well now and sleeping like a puppy. I am so grateful to the Lord for priesthood power and the answer to prayers.

I am so grateful for goodly parents. The Lord blessed me with really great people as parents. They have made their mistakes and parenting was not a walk in the park but they have been wonderful examples of strength and faith to me. They have always helped me to make good choices. I am very blessed to have them. Today I spoke with a young woman who was not so blessed and her life is very hard right now. She, sadly, is a product of a bad environment and she is very unhappy. Some can be brought up in a good environment and still turn wayward but this young lady never had a chance really. She does not have the love and support I have and have always had. I am very grateful the Lord blessed me to have a great set of parents and to have a strong testimony. Times have not always been easy but I always knew where to turn. I am very blessed to have that.

Today I was reminded of how sometimes when things are falling apart somewhere they are falling into place somewhere else. My parents are having many problems with their house right now and when one thing gets fixed we see many reasons why it fixed other things too. So what seems like a burden right now, it is helping fix other potential problems down the road. The Lord knows all and is looking long term at our lives, trust is a must!

Today was a really good day and I know the Lord was helping me teach my Sunday School lesson. I am so grateful for the Spirit that guides me as I teach. It is a gift that I use on a daily basis.

My car is fixed! I am so grateful that through a lot of help and work and many tender mercies from the Lord, our car is ready to drive. We no longer have to take two cars everywhere. The Lord blessed us with the ability to get it running and for as little cost as possible.

I know I post a lot about my family but one of my greatest blessings that the Lord has given me and the way I see His hand so often is through them. My wonderful brother and father came over and helped us diagonos the problem with our main transport vehicle. This saved us a lot of money and was such a blessing. My brother was so sweet to come all the way from across the valley to help on a Friday night. My dad is still recovering from heart surgery and he still gave out directions (he spent over 25 years as a mechanic). I love these men so much and am so very grateful to have them in my life!

This week has been crazy and I fell asleep last night before I posted. Yesterday I got to spend the day with my dad and it was a blessing. We talked and he bore his testimony to me. I am grateful the Lord gave me the oppurtunity to be there for that. I felt His Spirit and it touched my heart.

Today my dad was able to come home from the hospital! I am so grateful to the Lord and all He has done for my family. He has been with my family, especially my dad, and has never left us. I am grateful for modern technology, which the Lord brought to pass, that made it possible for my dad to be able to live a full life. Years ago this would have been the end but because of the time we live in and the priesthood power my dad will be with us many more years. Miracles happen daily and God loves all His children!

Today both of my parents were able to get a blessing. Both blessings were by different men. I am so blessed to have so many priesthood holders in my life who are able to bless and to comfort my family in times of need. It is proof of God's love and that His hand is stretched out still.

Today I went to make our dinner and the meat had gone bad. I only bought it yesterday. I couldn't return it today because I believe in keeping the Sabath day holy and not shopping because it causes other people to work when it is not necessary. I had been promted at the store yesterday to buy a ham also, even thought I didn't need a ham and it was not on the menu. I am so grateful that the Lord prompted me to do that so that I still could make a tasty, easy meal for my family but not need to return and exchange the meat on Sunday.

Today I was blessed and able to go shopping and visit my parents at the hospital because of the help of my wonderful in-laws. I know in-laws get a bad rap sometimes but I can truly say that mine love me and my family. From stories and experience this can be rare. I am so blessed to have their love and support when I need it. The Lord provided a wonderful second family for me.

I am grateful that the Lord gives you strength when you think you are tapped out. I made it through today running off of the strength given to me by the Lord. I didn't want to do anything or see anyone or be anywhere. I just felt like I didn't have anything else to give. The Lord reminded me of all those who needed me and gave me the strength to carry on. I love those who I dealt with today so I am very grateful I could be there for them and they there for me, and the Lord there for all of us.

Today we passed a line of sight test for a internet company and they will be using our house as the main house for their internet. By doing so we get out Internet for free, which saves us a lot of money a month. I am so grateful the Lord blessed us with this opportunity. He gives us so much and I know it is because of our obedience to His laws. Life is good!

Day 35 of 2015

Today my dad had heart surgery. The doctor did not have to open up his chest or replace anything. He was able to just repair the valve that was broken. I am so grateful the Lord was with my dad and that He was with the doctor. My dad is doing well and will recover fully in just a few months. The miracles of modern technology are amazing. The Lord has blessed us with so much knowledge and so much wisdom. We truly live in a great age of time and the Lord has reserved us for it.

Today I was able to download and watch a great movie that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day did, called Meet the Mormons. An amazing job was done on it and I loved the movie. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I loved and learned something from this movie. I am so grateful the Lord made this movie available for me to watch in my own home, on my own time. I didn't get a chance to see it in theaters because of my schedule. The Lord knew there would be more like me and He made it possible that so many could see it in their own way. I love it.

Today my dad went into the surgeon and got a surgery date of Wednesday. I am so grateful for the Lord blessing him that he can have his heart fixed as soon as possible. I know the Lord has been with my dad and His hand has been there to help everything along so my dad can get fixed. I am so grateful for priesthood power and the knowledge I get from the Holy Ghost that everything will be okay.

Today my brother got the apartment he wanted. I know this came from many prayers and for fasting. I am so happy for this opportunity for him and his daughter. I am grateful the Lord listen to all the prayers offered and that He loves His children.

Sorry, I thought I posted this last night-

Today we all prayed as a family for something that we have been hoping for. My brother has been looking for a place to live and we have been trying to help him. He went through a place he liked and filled out an application. After I got off the phone with him our family got together to say a prayer for help. I think he will get the place and I am grateful the Lord gives us that line of comunication with Him. I knew He was listening. That is a great feeling.
