Day 180 of 2017

Today I made it through the jungle we call a city to go to an appointment. I hate driving and I hate driving the freeway and I hate big city driving. I get actual panic attacks. The Lord has blessed my life with a GPS in my phone and I made it there all by myself (with help from Siri). Technology can be such a massive blessing and I am grateful today I had it at the touch of a screen.

Day 179 of 2017

I am grateful for a loving husband who never tires of taking care of me. I am sick, again. He has taken it in stride and is becoming very good at taking care of the kids and me. If anything, this trial of strength for me has made him a stronger dad and husband. He has grown so much. I know the Lord puts us through things for a reason and I am seeing the blessings come from this trial. The Lord always sends a rainbow with the rain if we will look for it.

Day 178 of 2017

Today I awoke to our camping trailer being wide open. My heart was sick with worry as my husband went out to check it. We have had a lot of criminal activity in our neighborhood and I was worried someone had broken into our trailer. Turns out that when I had locked it up the day before that the lock hadn't caught and some time during the night the wind had opened the door. Nothing was missing or misplaced. I am so grateful the Lord watched out for our little trailer and that it was alright.

Day 177 of 2017

We needed a sleeping bag for one of our kids and I was afraid we would be paying a lot of money. I was prompted to go to Costco and look. We found one for a very good price, one we could afford and it is a nice bag. I am so grateful for the tender mercies the Lord sends our way.

Days 173-176 of 2017

Another combined post. Went on another short trip where I didn't have wifi for my iPad. So here are the days.

Day 173- We arrived safely at our destination which was 250 miles away. I am so grateful for the protection traveling that far.

Day 174- We were able to keep all the kids safe at a park we went to. Having 11 kids to keep track of is a lot and I am very grateful the Lord helped us keep them all safe and happy.

Day 175- We were able to go a temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and feel the Spirit. I am so grateful for eternal families and how the temple helps us stay together forever.

Day 176- We returned home today and found that one of the children had left open our chest freezer in the garage. Miraculously none of the food was spoiled and the freezer still works. I am grateful for the tender mercy the Lord blessed us with since we don't have a lot of extra money to replace the food or the freezer.

Day 172 of 2017

Today I was able to help my husband finish cleaning up the basement. One of our dogs was sick all over the carpets downstairs last week while we were gone. We got up what we had to when we got back but we still had tack strips and things on the floor that I was afraid the kids would be injured on so they haven't been allowed in the basement. Tonight we finished getting it all cleaned up and vacuumed. Now it is ready for the new floor. I am so grateful the Lord blessed us with flooring being on sale right when we needed it so we could get some. It took a load off our minds. I am also grateful for the energy He gave me to help. If you have been following my blog then you know that my health hasn't been 💯 the last few months. Helping get things cleaned up was a huge boost for me.

Day 171 of 2017

Today I was able to catch up on some sleep. The Lord blessed me with about 3 hours to lay down and get some good sleep. It made my day so much better.

Day 170 of 2017

Today I was able to finish some gifts that I should have been on the ball and started long ago but didn't. I got them done for the men in my life today. A day late but at least I got them done. It was very sweet to see the smiles on their faces as I gave them a gift that came from the heart. I am so very grateful for all the good men in my life and all they do for me. The good Lord has blessed my life many times over with patient men who are willing to put up with me and my children. We are a very loud and busy package.

Days 163-169 of 2017

Instead of doing a lot of little posts I will do one big one. My husband and I went on vacation and had no reception for most of the time so I couldn't post. I will do each day individually but just one post.

Day 163- I was able to get all of the chores done I needed to. I had two very disorganized houses to get in order. I am grateful the Lord blessed me with the energy and time to do it all.

Day 164- I was able to get all the kids packed and ready with it all organized. I was able to find everything I needed and organize the bags to make it as easy as possible for my mother to know who's was what. I know the Lord inspired me to get everything in as good of order as I did.

Day 165- We made it safely to Yellowstone park and got the kids off to my parents to watch while we were gone. We had an excellent time and nothing went wrong with our vehicle. I am so grateful for the protection we had.

Day 166- We had a wonderful day in the park. We also went out to a bear and wolf center near the park and was able to hear wolves howl. One of my favorite animals is a wolf. I am so grateful the Lord granted me this little kindness to have all the wolves start howling while I was there so I was able to record it. It was awesome.

Day 167- My mom went to the doctor and they did her blood work. She is officially 5 years cancer free. I am so very grateful that the Lord healed my mother and that she is still here on earth to be my friend and support. She is an angel in disguise for our family.

Day 168- I was able  to see a wolf in the wild! I prayed and hoped and saw one. It was far away but I saw it having a confrontation with an elk. It was awesome! I am ecstatic that the Lord blessed me to be in the right place at the right time to have this happen. What a thrilling end to our trip.

Day 169- We traveled home safely from our trip and was able to still be here for Father's Day for my dad. He is such an amazing person. I love him so much. I am so grateful he is my dad. The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful dad and a wonderful husband. I have great men in my life.

Day 162 of 2017

Today I went to church a little down because my husband wasn't feeling well and wouldn't be there to help me teach our class. I was so happy to see him in the foyer when I took our youngest to the bathroom. He had come to church just for me so I wouldn't be alone. I am so grateful that the Lord granted my cry for help and that He gave me such a caring man to be with for eternity. I feel so blessed today.

Day 161 of 2017

I was able to see a lot of my mom's side of the family today. We don't get together that often but my cousin is getting married and we had a shower for her. It was so nice to see them all and get some updates on how people are doing. I wish we got together more but you grow up and life happens and it is easy to lose touch. I am grateful that I had this opportunity and that the Lord gives us families to be with. I would be so lost without the love and support of immediate and extended family. What a great system He gave us for support.

Day 160 of 2017

I am blessed to live close to a zoo. My kids love to go there and we have a good time. I am grateful that the Lord helped me organize a zoo trip for my kids today. We had an uncle helping us. That was a tender mercy because keeping track of four kids at the zoo is a big job. We all had a really great time and the kids all behaved well and no one got lost. That is a successful trip. I thank the Lord for our safety and for making it so easy to get there.

Day 159 of 2017

I had a hard day today. I don't know why but the loss of my oldest two brothers have gotten to me today. My oldest brother passed away almost 4 years ago and my brother just younger than him decided his family would be better without me in it. My heart has been sad today but I have felt the love of my Savior and I know that my family has been sealed by priesthood power. I will see my oldest brother again and if he has a change of heart then I will also be friends again with my other brother. The Lord knows my heart and He has been there today to help me find some peace.

Day 158 of 2017

Today I was able to complete an entire exercise routine. I haven't been able to do that in two months. I am so very grateful for the health and strength of body the Lord has given me. He has helped me to heal and slowly get back to normal. The Lord does still work miracles. I will attest to that.

Day 157 of 2017

I am grateful the Lord blessed me with a daughter I can rely on. I had to run an errand with my mom which I expected to take 45 minutes. It lasted two and a half hours. My daughter took care of her younger siblings and I didn't have to worry at all. It was wonderful. I am truly blessed with a wonderful family.

Today I got up and stayed up. I did not want to. My body has been sick for so long it doesn't like to get up and moving in the morning. I am grateful that I was able to get up and stay up. I know the Lord helped me to accomplish this and to get done all I wanted to. I couldn't get through this life without all that help.

Today I fasted for many reasons and when I was praying to break my fast the Lord gave me peace. Even if the things I fasted for don't come to pass as I would want them to He let me know that everything will be alright and I need not worry. He is taking care of all. That is a great feeling and a great knowledge to have.

Day 154 of 2017

Today I found two mistakes that two different stores made and according to their policies didn't have to honor fixing them because time had passed. One was we got sold a faulty fan in January that we just today found out it was faulty and the other was I was double charged for an expensive item at another store but didn't see it the day of the charge.  Both stores fixed our problems with no arguing. I was so grateful. We got a new fan and I got my money back. It was wonderful and a tender mercy from the Lord.

Day 153 of 2017

Today my daughter is fully well and into all the trouble a 6 year old gets into. I am happy to have her back and I am so grateful for the Lord helping her to heal and get back to herself. I know it was the prayers of family and the blessing she received that aided her fast healing. I love the Lord and am very happy I have the priesthood in my life.

Today I was able to help calm my daughter as she is still sick. Because I have so much family support and have been blessed with good children I could stay with her while she watched her movies.  She was afraid to be alone. The Lord has blessed me with a good life.

I am so grateful for good doctors. I went to a new specialist today and he was so kind. He informed me of everything he was doing and of all my options. I am so grateful to the Lord for providing such good doctors and making them available to me. It has helped my life so much to have good medical care.
