Day 272 of 2015

I am grateful for the quick moments of inspiration while helping my children with their homework. I have found that I am NOT smarter than a fifth grader and I need all the help I can get to quickly and effectively help them with their work so that it does not take us forever to get through a day. The Lord is with me the whole day prompting and guiding me. The Spanish taking out the Native Americans never was one of my favorite stories but I helped my oldest get through it and she even got 100 on her test. Tender mercies are everywhere if you stop to look.

Day 271 of 2015

Today I was able to have patience and knowledge while trying to help my daughter understand math. Math has always been a struggle for her. I don't honesty know why. Today she had an end of level test and it was very apparent she was not understanding questions. I sat down and read them with her and felt inspired at times on how to help her visually get a concept so she could answer the question. We will be working on math a lot but today I was grateful for the extra help from Heaven so I could help her.

Today I awoke in a bad mood. Through constant prayer and prayers of my sweet husband it finally lift. It took most of the day but I was able to smile again by the end. I am so grateful for prayer and for the concern the Lord has even for my mood for the day. I know He loves me.

Today was women's conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love this conference. It is twice a year. I always feel so happy and I can feel the Savior's love for me and for all of us. The men and women who lead this church are truly inspired. I am so grateful for the opportunity to go and for the Lord organizing it. It lifted my spirit and soothed my soul.

Today I felt strengthened and blessed as I accomplished all I needed to do- household chores, the kids school work, a dinner party and more homework. I am so grateful for the Lord's strengthening hand and for His always present support. I multitasked brilliantly and was very proficient. That is not to brag up me but to bring to the point that it wasn't me. I know the Lord was the one prompting my actions and assisting me work. I love help from on high.

Modern science is wonderful. Today my Mimi had surgery to fix her heart. Now we get to enjoy her for awhile longer. Her surgery went well and I am very grateful that the Lord looked after her and helped her throughout it. I know He loves her and wants her to have the best life possible. I am grateful for all the inventions He has inspired to make that possible.

Today I was able to get some muffins made for my sweet Mimi. I have not been able to find the time and honestly, today should not have worked out so I could but the Lord knew how important it was to me so He made it happen. I am so very happy that she got her muffins before tomorrow.

Today I was able to multitask and get stuff done while being a teacher to my 7 year old and 10 year old. I know I had help from the Lord with concentration and energy. I could not have done today alone. Honestly I am counting on it to continue through out the week. The Lord is wonderful!

Today I took our oldest to the doctor and was waiting. The Lord made it possible for my husband to leave work and surprise us. I am so grateful because while there he was able to give our daughter a blessing so that she could be strong enough to get through the all the shots and blood being drawn, very intimidating for a 10 year old. The Lord blessed us with so many things at her appointment. I am so very grateful.

Today we had I little scare with our oldest. She had a seizure and fell off a chair while eating. I am very grateful that the Lord helped bring peace to her heart and also He made it so she didn't choke on the mouthful of food she was chewing while she was not in control of her muscles. I know the Lord was with her and I am so grateful for that.

Today I went for a hike and am amazed at the beauty of Fall. The trees were changing colors and the air was crisp. I am so grateful for the changing seasons. The Lord has put beauty everywhere for us to enjoy.

I am so grateful for the beautiful earth that the Lord has given us. RJ took me camping, just us two, and we sat and looked at the stars. What a wonderful gift from a loving Father.

Today I was able to visit with my Mimi. I am so grateful I was able to go and have a little visit with her. She is such a sweet person and I am so thankful she is in my life and that she is mine forever. The  Lord has enriched my life with her being a part of it.

Today the Lord looked after my brother. He is special needs and his work dropped him off at the wrong location and no one knew about the mistake for 45 minutes. I hurried over and he was locked out and in the rain. The Lord protected him and kept him safe and warm until I got there. I am grateful for the prompting to check why his transport was late and I am grateful for the neighbor who was home and could sit with my sleeping child while I went and found him. The Lord was with us today.

My dad was able to fix our car today. I am so grateful for his knowledge and his talent. The Lord blessed him with these and in turn he blessed us. I am very for my dad and all he does for us. The Lord blessed me with an excellent father.

Today I was very grateful for the fulfillment of a blessing I received last week. I was at 100% today after being sick. I was promised that and I am in awe every time I see the Lord work and fulfill promises that don't seem possible. The grace and power of God is awesome.

Today the Lord kicked me out of bed to go to church. I was not feeling well and I could have stayed home. I didn't really want to though. I wanted to go and I wanted to feel the Spirit and be with my family so I am grateful the Lord gave me a push out of bed and that I went. Especially since I forgot my daughter was giving a talk in primary. She did a wonderful job and I would have missed it. The Lord is good.

Today I was given back my energy. The Lord blessed me with health and I got a lot done. I am so grateful for the healing that the Lord granted me.

Today I am grateful for a mother who is close and loves her grandkids. The Lord blessed me with a very loving mother. She mothered me and took care of my kids while I still rested today. I am double blessed that she is so close I could walk to her house easy. The Lord knew I couldn't live without my mother.

Today I am feeling better. I know that it is because of a tender mercy given to me through a priesthood blessing. The Lord has speed up my recovery.

Today my sweet daughter took care of me while I was sick. I have been blessed with children who are very caring. I am grateful the Lord has trusted me with them and has blessed our lives with their care and concern.

Today I was given opportunities to calm down and de stress a bit which I sorely needed. I am very grateful the Lord blessed me with such time today. I know He knew I would need it. This was put into place Friday that I would have down time today. I am very grateful for His hand in my stress level.

Today the Lord blessed me with a nice dinner with family. We all had a good time. I am grateful that I can be with my family forever. The Lord had blessed us all with family, earthly and heavenly. This blessing is one I cherish everyday.

Today my keys were lost. I had a certain mindset and thought that they had been lost by a certain child at a certain time. As the night progressed we checked everywhere and couldn't find them. 2 hours went by and no keys. I said a few silent prayers throughout all of this and finally I am standing thinking and the Lord prompted me to ask a question of what I thought. What if it wasn't one child but another at a totally different time of the day that used my keys? If that was the case then we had been searching the wrong area. I went with the prompting and the keys were found within 5 minutes. I am so grateful for the answer to prayers. Especially when we are so certain we know what happened. I am grateful He still tries to get through our pride and touch us with the correct answer.

Today I was prompted to start doing the chores I normally do on Monday today. I thought it was not needed but I had time so I did them. I got them all done and was thinking about my Monday when I realized it was a holiday. Now because of a sweet prompting from the Lord I can enjoy more time with my family because I got a lot of stuff done today.

Today while making homemade spaghetti sauce to jar and put away I almost sliced into my hand. I was not doing anything really dumb but the knife slipped on a tomato and it would have really been bad but I know the Lord was with me and saved my hand. The knife went right where my fingers were spread apart and did not harm me at all. I am so grateful for the Lord's loving care.

Today I was praying and got a wonderful feeling of peace and love. I feeling of acceptance. I am so grateful for a Father who has so much to attend to and do but knows everyone and has time for everyone. I don't understand it. I won't even try but I know it is true. He loves and pays close attention to all of us.

Today I was able to take a nap to help my body get some rest. I don't get naps. Ever. So the Lord blessing me with a moment to nap was wonderful.
