Day 89 of 2017

Today I was able to get through all my work. I had a lot to do and I still got it all done. I am so grateful to the Lord for helping me have the strength to get through it all. Just a few more days and our remodel will be complete. The Lord has given me the patience to work around a torn apart house. I am very blessed.

Day 88 of 2017

Today I was able to get another wall painted. With the Lord's help I think we will have our house done with paint and flooring in a week and a half like we wanted. It will really be a miracle but day by day the Lord is showing me it is possible.

Today I had to laugh. I was painting and put the gallon of paint under a chair that I was using so my kids would not spill the paint. Well, guess who forgot the paint was there and spilled the gallon of paint. Yeah, me. Quick was the word and sharp was the motion as I hurried to clean up almost a gallon of paint off the floor. The Lord didn't let me down and inspired me how to get the paint up and it didn't get gross. I saved most of it with the help of my son. I am so grateful the Lord gave me a cool head and a way to save the paint but most of all He has given me a sense of humor to be able to look at it and laugh. Sometimes the path we take to avoid something leads us to it. I found that out with red paint.

Today I was able to help RJ with a home project. We are getting pretty good at listening to the Spirit whisper ideas to us. We have made some very nice improvements to our house and I know the Lord has inspired us.

Today we were able to have a nice dinner here. I am so grateful for the things the Lord has given us and that we could invite family and friends over to enjoy each other's company. I am grateful the Lord has given me a husband who helps a lot. We make a great team and I never feel like I am doing all the work. I am so blessed.

Today we got a lot done. I am so grateful to the Lord for helping us with all our house projects. We are getting them done and by doing them ourselves we are saving money. It is wonderful. The Lord has taught us so much and has helped us to realize we can do more than we thought.

Today I found a definition of patience that gives me hope. While doing my scripture study I felt prompted to look up the definition of patience. I thought I knew all the definitions and I have always felt I came short. There is one definition that I saw today that I have never thought of before. It gave me comfort. It's not just about being calm and not yelling. It's not just about NOT making mistakes or NOT loosing your temper. It is also about being "steadfast despite opposition, difficulty, or adversity." I fall short of calm often but the good Lord has blessed me with a strong testimony. As long as I hold firm to my knowledge of Christ and am steadfast in His Gospel I will be alright. I can say I am patient. That is a victory for me!

Today I was able to get my hair cut. As I was driving over to my mother's for her to cut it I realized how blessed I am to have a mother who is willing to cut my hair and save me the money. My mother is a gift from heaven and she does so many things for me. I am very grateful the Lord has given me a wonderful mother.

Day 81 of 2017

Today was able to stay within my calories. I have been trying and trying to get back to being healthy. When you fall off the band wagon of eating right it is really hard to get back on. Usually having a baby is what makes me fall off. Being pregnant is not good for me. Now I am struggling to take my life and health back. Day 3 and I am excited. The Lord has helped me. I have been tempted to just give up for the day (which is my downfall, then I just keep giving up for the day and saying I will do better the next day) but the Lord has helped me be strong. I am hopeful. The Lord is putting in His half, I need to put in mine.

Today we had another good meeting for our financial group. The Spirit was there and I feel we are all bonding as a group. I am grateful for the things the Lord has taught me and for the experiences I have had. This is a wonderful program the Lord has given His people to become self-reliant.

Today I was able to finish putting the roof on our kids play house. I am grateful I could help my husband and that the Lord has improved my talent for home improvements. I handled a drill nicely I think. I am also grateful the Lord gives us such a capacity to learn and grow.

Today we celebrated my brother's birthday. We had a party for him. We had people come to visit that we hadn't seen in years. I am so grateful for my brother. He has such a sweet spirit. If anyone can bring our family together, it's my brother. We had a wonderful time talking and laughing. What a sweet way to celebrate a wonderful guy. I thank the Lord I am his sister.

We were able to build our children's play set. During this process we ran into problems and I know the Spirit was with us and we could solve the problems in a timely manner and move on. I am so grateful since it was a big project and we were running out of light. We got it done. I am very thankful.

I am very grateful for the opportunity I have to have the kids home for school. I get to teach them and join in on their parties for holidays. I was able to teach them why we really celebrate St. Patrick's day. I don't know how much of that they would get in school because it is actually a religious holiday. It was fun to be with them and teach them about St. Patrick bringing Christianity to Ireland.

Today my nephew came home from the hospital. I am so grateful for all the prayers that have been answered and for all the love I have felt from the Lord letting me know it would be alright.

Today we had a leak under our sink and it needed to be fixed. Almost a year ago we bought the parts to fix this sink. We just knew this part was old and would need to be fixed. Most days we forgot we even had this part. Well, it needed to be changed today becasue it totally broke down and right now we don't have the money for the part. Buying the part long ago was a prompting from the Lord, I feel. He knew we would need it and we wouldn't have the money so when we did have the money He had us buy it. I am very grateful I have Someone reliable on my side who can see the future.

Today I was able to get a lot done. I am so grateful for the things I am getting caught up on from being sick. The Lord has blessed me to get a lot done in a little time. It was a very productive day.

Today I was able to exercise. I haven't in such a long time becasue of illness. It felt good to be able to move my body. I am grateful to the Lord for how healthy I am and that I have a strong, working body.

Today I was able to see my nephew. He is back in the hospital again. He was smiling and giggling when I went.  I was so happy to see him. I am so grateful that the Lord made it possible for me to see him. I also am grateful for the added blessing he is still with us. I am so happy I could see my buddy.

Today my dad was able to come over and help with some wiring problems we have. I am so blessed to be given a father who is so talented and willing to share those talents. He worked very hard for us. He shows us Christlike love all the time. I am very blessed.

I am grateful for good friends. We had a family over for dinner and it is a blessing to have friends who share my standards and we have so much in common. Friends make life a little better.

Today I was able to collect some things to give to those who are not as fortunate as we are. We don't have a lot but I am grateful that we have enough that we can make ends meet and we have extra that we can share with others. The Lord has blessed our family.

Today I was healed. I was promised in a blessing that today I would be fully recovered and I am. I have not felt this good in two weeks. I woke up a little afraid of what might happen but I had faith and the Lord said I would be fine today so I started working on getting my house back in order and I felt good. No exhaustion, no lightheartedness, no heavy breathing or muscle aches. I am so grateful.

Today I was able to fulfill my responsibilities. I am still very tired and I don't feel well but having the energy to be able to run some errands and go to my meeting tonight was great. The Lord blessed me with motivation and the energy I needed.

Today I was able to get out of bed and get some things done. I have not kicked whatever bug I have going on but being able to do something was nice. Even through all my weakness and blurry head the Lord has helped me accomplish what I have needed to. I am very grateful.

Today I was so grateful that the Lord blessed us, long ago, with neighbors who have stayed our friends. They are more like family. We were able to have dinner with them tonight and talk and have a good time. The Lord gives us family to be with and support each other. Then He also gives us friends to make the journey even better. Are we not all one big family anyway?

Today I listened to the Spirit and did something I wasn't planning on doing and becasue I did my husband was able to do all he had on his to-do list. I am grateful that I listened to the Spirit and that the Lord helped it all to turn out right. Having my husband happy is a great blessing.

Today my brother was able to put in a new window for us. I am so grateful the Lord has blessed me with a great family. My brothers are always willing to help when I need them. I can't say enough how blessed I am to have the family I do.

Today I was able to get up and do more than I have in a while. I was grateful for the energy and for the time I had to get some things done and caught up with. I am so grateful to the Lord for all the people whom He blessed me with so that I could rest and be taken care of and have my responsibilities taken care of as well.

Today I was prompted to check into things and found out that I had not turned in my time cards for my last pay period. I have no idea why. They were prepared and ready to go. So I was able to call and get it worked out and will still get paid. I am so grateful the Lord prompted me to action and that I will still get that money that we need.
