Being a parent is brutal. It really is not for the faint heart. We had parent-teacher conference today and I... Well, we won't go into what I think they are doing to the school system but I digress. I am grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost to know what to say and how to help my child when they feel that their scores are against them. I am grateful for loving teachers who are understanding of the system and do not fault my child or make them feel like a second class citizen when they don't meet ALL the standards. I am grateful that the Lord knows my child better than I do and can whisper the answers to problems that I did not know even existed for my child. I am feeling very blessed with all the support I have to help raise a child in this day and age and for those who love my children, even with their faults. God loves everyone and I am grateful He loves me and my family.
