Day 70 of 2014

I have a very sarcastic tongue. It is herititary and is very strong with this one. I am trying to be a better person and only use this gift (as long as the humor and wit are clean, I do see this as a gift as it can make an uncomfortable situation light and make people laugh) when no one will be hurt by it. This is hard sometimes as I am very quick to speak and sometimes slow to think of the effects BEFORE I speak. Today I was able to hold my tongue and keep things light at times when I wanted to bite back with my gift. I am grateful The Lord held my tongue just long enough for me to think and respond in a kinder manner. I am learning, with the help of the Spirit, to be better.
