Mothers are given a special gift. They instinctively (most of the time) know when their child is upset. Along with this gift is given the insight to know what to do when said child is upset. A glass of juice, a big hug, a snuggle and book on the couch.... The list could go on and on. Each time is different and it is different with each child. I am grateful The Lord has given me this gift and has shown me how to tap into it and to use it. My oldest is having a hard time concentrating and as such she is all over and it's hard to pin her down for a discussion. It really is like the song on the Sound of Music, how do you catch a cloud and pin it down? Well, after a bit of frustration I realized something had scared her and was making her clam up. Not her trying to be difficult or not listening. She was quiet because she did not know how to handle or fix the situation. After this realization we could talk about it and move on. The Lord sends promptings often. I am grateful I listened.
