I have been camping since Wednesday so here are all my posts from those days. I wrote them down so I could post them when we came back to civilization.
Today I was prompted to help a little girl find her mom. She didn't know me and ran from me but I was prompted to follow her until she met up with her mom. Our neighborhood is all interconnected so I knew she would run to her mom at some point but I just felt she needed some watching over. I don't know if anything would have happened but I am grateful I followed the promoting and she got safe back to her mom. Sometimes you don't know why the Lord asks you to help, especially when it seems the help is unnecessary, but I know I did the right thing and I am grateful that the little girl made it back. Children are so special to our Father.

Today the Lord blessed our camping trip. The kids all got along and no one got hurt. The temperature was perfect. The mountains were beautiful. All these elements combined to make a wonderful experience for the kids and I am so grateful for that tender mercy so that our children will have pleasant memories.

Today our prayer was answered and a major storm was diverted long enough for us to get breakfast done because the prayer and faith of my mother. While we were standing and waiting and hoping the storm would not hit us my mother suggested we pray. Cooking outside while camping you are a little vulnerable. After the prayer my mother uttered, it calmed a bit and we had just enough time to finish breakfast before it started to really pour. I am so grateful for the faith of a good mother and for the attention of a loving Father.

Today two members of my family were saved from serious injury by tender mercies from the Lord. First, my dad was saved when he was trying to put away the wet side by side car he brought to drive. Only one tire slipped off the truck and he was not injured but it should have been much worse. Then, later in the day, my daughter was playing with all the other kids and was climbing on a log and fell off and poked a stick clean through her shirt and it honestly should have went into her but the Lord was with her and she only received a scratch that didn't even break her skin. I am so grateful for His watchful eye when we are away from home, and always.

A lot of people have told me that a good thing to do when you are preparing for General Conference (semi annual conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) is to prepare a question you want answered and listen to see if it is answered. I was actually guaranteed it would be answered. I have never done it. I honestly could never think of a question. It's like when someone asks you what you want for your birthday and you can't come up with anything but the moment you walk in a store and it's after your birthday you find a ton of stuff. I just can't think of stuff on the spot. My mind goes blank. So this conference I thought of a question. This was not a trial of my faith or a deal breaker if it did not get answered, it was more curiosity. Today, when Pres. Monson spoke, He answered my question. It was Pres. Monson's voice but I know the answer came from the Lord. I am grateful for modern day prophets and modern day revelation and that we can ask questions and receive answers.
God Loves You!
