I am on a patriarchal blessing kick. I think it is so great you can request you ancestors blessings and read them. Of course, you don't show them to anyone but family and hold them sacred. They did come from the Lord. But to read their blessings and see that they came to pass, to see the great things they were promised, it is AWESOME! You get to know them and you get to see a part of their lives that most don't see. It has been such a spiritual experience for me to read them and get to know my ancestors and my husbands ancestors. Today I got one for my great grandpa. We have a history of his family so I got to go back through that and see what was happening in his life when he got it and to see what happened after. I teared up at how awesome it was. I am so grateful the Lord gave me the opportunity to have this experience today.
