Day 2013 of 2016

Today I was able to visit with some family and talk about some things that were bothering them. I am grateful the Lord has given me the relationship with these members that we could talk and feel at home with each other. Their house is always a welcome place for me. What a blessing to have family.

I am very grateful for a dad who will sacrifice part of his Saturday to come and help me. The Lord blessed me with a father who is always willing to help me. I know that I was placed with him in this because the Lord knew I would need him as an example and as a protector. My dad will always be one of my heroes.

Today I was able to get a lot done again. With my mono still here and taking my energy I feel so blessed I got as much done as I have. I know the Lord is be helping me and giving me strength. I am very grateful.

Today I was able to function on a few hours sleep. I know the Lord helped me accomplish all I needed to because I was doing an errand for Him last night until very late. I am grateful for inspiration snd will power and strength.

Today I was able to accomplish a project even though I am low on energy. I was grateful for the Lord's help. I know I couldn't have done it alone.

Today my nephew made it through his surgery just fine. I am so grateful that he did well. There were lots of prayers said on his behalf as well as his family. The power of prayer is real and I am so thankful for a Father who listens and comforts His children.

Today I was able to rest and catch up on some of my energy. I am grateful for a husband who pulls more than his weight a lot and does it without complaining. He is a wonderful man. I thank the Lord everyday for my RJ.

As of today my husband and I are officially team (or partner) teachers in the primary. I love teaching with RJ and being with him. I know this calling came from the Lord and I am so grateful He put us together. The best partner in teaching I have ever had has been my husband. It is such a great blessing to be able to do that again.

Today RJ and I were able to get a project done in record timing. I know the Lord was helping us to get so much accomplished today. It was a very productive Saturday.

Today I was able to find my aunt's grave marker. We have been looking for it and the spirit whispered to me where it was and I found it first try. I am so grateful for a simple prayer answered.

Today I am grateful for inspiration that comes to me as a parent. I receive inspired counsel daily from the Lord on how to deal with each of my children. They are all so different and sometimes decision need to be made right then. The Lord guides me and helps me to understand their needs and how to also help my family as a whole. I am so very blessed to have a loving Father who I can call on at anytime.

Today I was able to catch up on some of my sleep. I was grateful for the opportunity. The Lord does that sometimes, opens my day up a bit and I get to take a little nap. I think a nap is good for the mind, body and spirit sometimes.

Today I said good bye (for now) to a good friend as she goes on her mission. RJ was able to stay home so he could say good bye to her as well. The way he stayed home was not what was expected but him staying home I see as a tender mercy so that he could say good bye and we could get a picture of all of us together before she left. I am grateful for the chance we had to say good bye as a family.

Today I was able to talk with my daughter and have a good conversation. I am grateful that I have such a wonderful relationship with her. The Lord blessed me with 4 wonderful children and an oldest daughter that takes her responsibilities seriously. I have great kids and am so very grateful the Lord entrusted them to me.

Today I received some news about my calling as a primary teacher. I took it to the Lord and had it confirmed to me that what was happening was what was supposed to happen and that I was where I needed to be. I am so grateful for personal revelation and that the Lord will talk directly to us. It amazes me that He knows me by name and that He will talk to me and help me. How awesome!

Today I was able to accomplish what I wanted to and had the energy to do it. I'm always grateful for when the Lord helps my day run smooth and I feel accomplished at the end. I know I would be lost without His help.

Today has been a little trying. A lot of things have just stacked on top of each other to make life a little interesting around here. Today my youngest also became ill, as my oldest has been ill all week. My youngest came down with something completely different but a 3 year old is cranky no matter what sickness it is. I felt like I couldn't handle any more but the Lord and I talked and He convinced me I could handle it. He was right. I made it through today with His help and tomorrow I will do the same. It will all work out.

Today I was prompted to have my dad help my son with a project. I am so glad I listened. I think it was good for my dad and for my son to work together. They had some quality time together and I hope they have more moments like that. I think it helped my dad feel needed and he has a lot of wisdom he can give my son. It was a great combination.

Today I was able to get a lot done and I am always grateful to the Lord for helping me do everything I need to do. I know that my strength comes from the Lord and that He blesses my body and mind to accomplish all I need to do. Some days it seems I need more help than others but I am grateful for it everyday.

Today my daughter was able to receive a priesthood blessing to help her get better. I am so grateful for the love our Father has that He would be concerned about such a little thing as a cold and the comfort of a child. There are so many world problems right now but He takes the time to comfort all His children. That is such a blessing.

Today I was able to run. I have not been feeling well so being able to run and my body be okay with it today was a tender mercy from the Lord. He knew I needed the outlet of running and made my body strong enough for it. It was wonderful to be moving.

Today my husband and I celebrate 9 years of marriage. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every year of it and that each year has gotten better than the one before. I am so grateful the Lord blessed me with such a wonderful husband to be my help meet and friend. I am grateful for the answer to my heart felt prayers years ago about finding someone I could trust and love with all my heart.

Today I was able to go out with my sweet husband and I was able to have a wonderful time. I am so grateful the Lord has blessed us to have time together to rekindle our love and friendship. I love our children but I love the time we have with just us. I believe it helps our relationship and by doing that helps our whole family to be happy and secure. Dates are a wonderful thing.

Today I was able to go camping in a wonderful spot and enjoy my family and enjoy nature. I love the mountains, I love my family, I love all the creatures God has blessed us with. I am so grateful the Lord presented us with the opportunity and we took it.

Today a silly prayer was answered. Well, I say silly because it was nothing spiritual at all. My iPad wasn't working and I asked the Lord in a quick prayer to help me figure out why it wasn't. It took a few minutes for me to listen but the answer came to me and it worked. I am so grateful for a God who truly cares about what we care about. He honestly tries to help us where He can and when we let Him. I am so blessed.

Today I was able to help my little sister have a lunch date with her friend. It reminded me of how blessed I am to have her and my brother (both have special needs) in my life and how much it has enriched my life and made me the person I am. I am very grateful to a loving Father who trusted me enough with these special spirits and has allowed me to have a big part in their lives.

Today I was able to have a serious talk with someone and I felt the Spirit guiding me. This individual can be hard to talk to sometimes and combative. I was able to talk with her and I think it went well on my end. I am grateful the Lord listened to my prayers and answered them by giving me peace and the companionship of the Holy Ghost.

Today we celebrate a holiday near to my heart and proof, to me, that the Lord is ever present in my life. Today we celebrate freedom and independence for our country (and our self to an extent). I know the Lord had a very firm hand in the shaping of our country, our constitution, our government and our right to certain freedoms. I know that the Lord wants us to be a free people. A people to act and think for ourselves and not be dictated to. This is how the Lord runs His government and He tried to put ours as close as society will let it. We have flaws and we have imperfect people running things a lot but we are still here. As long as there is a band of faithful Christians in the land we will have His protection. That gives me such peace and helps me to continue to fight for rights and for peace and for true freedom. God bless this country as He ever has done and, I pray, ever will do.

Today was an active day in our sunbeam class. Our little 3 year olds were a little bit of a hand full. I am so grateful for the Spirit and the help I recieved to have the patience and the temperament to deal with all the little kids. I love my little sunbeams but anyone will go crazy after awhile. I am happy the Lord helps me to see each child as a child of God and to want to love them, even when I also want to pull out my hair.

Today I was able to find an item for my mom that she has wanted for a long time. I do not believe in coincidence. I know the Lord guided me to a yard sale and from it I learned about a dear friend moving and I was able to acquire this item at a price that my mom could afford. I am grateful for the prompting and that I listened.

Today RJ had a doctors appointment and it went very well. I feel that this was inspired and that the Lord is looking out for our family and my husband especially. When he suffers we all suffer. I know we have hope of getting him better. I am very grateful for all the work the Lord has put into us.

This post is being done the next day because a huge blessing I recieved was that I was in bed and asleep by 10:00 pm. This hardly ever happens. My sweet husband took care of everything and let me sleep. I am so grateful the Lord helped me to get some much needed rest.
