Today I was able to see one of my good friends. She is very sweet and she is away at college so we don't see her very often. I love having her here. Having her come today was a sweet blessing. I am very grateful for all the friends the Lord has placed in my life.

Today my daughter has her energy back and is happy. I know it is because of the healing blessing she was given. I am so grateful for the power of the priesthood and how it blesses my family. It lightened my heart to see her feeling better.

When I took my daughter to the doctor today we were able to see her actual doctor and not one of the standbys. This reduced the stress of my daughter since she knows and loves our doctor. It was a blessing that we got into the clinic last minute and that her doctor was able to see her.

Today we received a lot of rain. We are in need of the moisture and I am so grateful for the Lord answering the many prayers that have been offered for it. The Lord listens to prayers and cares for not only us but also for our land.

My daughter had a sweet experience with the Spirit. She was scared about a nightmare and crying. She prayed and felt the Spirit speak peace to her. She was touched and so was I. The Lord was there for my little girl when I didn't know she needed someone. I am so grateful for the blessing of knowing she always has Someone to turn to. It calms my heart.

Today I had a wonderful time with RJ's side of the family. His dear mother puts together a wonderful Easter egg hunt every year for the kids. The Lord blessed us with perfect weather and a wonderful time. I am so grateful for the wonderful in-laws I have been blessed with and for the love they give us.

I was prompted to take a day off from everything with the kids. I didn't hound them about chores or anything, we all just enjoyed the day. I am so grateful for the promoting from the Lord because it worked well for them. They needed a day off from the world. Some days we just need to be able to do what we want for awhile and enjoy life. It was really nice.

Day 84 of 2016

My son went to the dentist today and had work done on his teeth. He actually let them in his mouth. This is a miracle. I have been promoted for sometime to go to this certain dentist office and finally went through with it. I am so grateful I listened. They are so good with our family and my son has had his teeth cleaned for the first time in 8 years. Not that I haven't taken him to a dentist but he usually throws up because of stress by the time they start to clean his teeth. This office made him feel at ease and I know that we were sent in their direction from a Higher power.

Today I listened to some religious talks while I ran. It made the time pass quickly and made me so happy. I could feel the Spirit and felt prompted in many ways I could improve. The Lord spoke to my heart and it gave me peace.

Today I was able to run again. It has been too long. I am so grateful the Lord blessed me with the time and energy and motivation. It did my spirit good.

Today I was able to exercise, which hasn't happened in two weeks. I am so grateful for the healing the Lord has helped my body to do.

Today I was able to go and watch a dedication of a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is a great blessing to be able to participate in something so sacred. Temples have blessed my entire life and without them I know I would not be able to spend eternity with my family. Eternity would not be peaceful or happy for me if not shared with them. I have a strong testimony of temples and the good they do, also the peace they bring. Temples and the ordinances performed in them are a beautiful sign for me of God's love and hand in my life and the life of the human family.

Today was very busy but I got everything done. That is a miracle and I am grateful for the help from above. I know the Lord helped me priorities and get things done effectively.

Today I was given inspiration as to how to deal with a problem with my son in a way I never would have thought of. It got his attention though and I didn't even raise my voice. I was prompted to have him write some sentences in his best handwriting just like they made you do in the 'old school days.' I didn't have to waste energy yelling or anything like that. I will be using this more often and I think it pleases the Lord to not have so much contention. I am very grateful for the inspired idea.

I took my brother to his special needs group last night and I had totally forgotten how fun those kids are. They are so loving and accepting. Their love and fun attitude is a sign of God's hand. He blessed us with these special spirits to see what unconditional love and true brotherly support looks and feels like. I am so blessed to have spent my whole life with one or more of these great spirits.

Day 76 of 2016

Today I found a dentist for RJ that would take our insurance so he can get a root canal. With my fuzzy head from a sinus infection, this was a miracle. I quickly followed the right steps and got everything figured out in less than 30 minutes. I am grateful the Lord pointed me in the right direction and led me to where I needed to call. Now RJ will get his mouth fixed and be happy.

Day 75 of 2016

Today I was able to have some quality chatting time with my sister. We don't chat often because of our busy mom schedules and, honestly, we both are not super social. I do love this sister a lot and love talking with her. Being firmly prompted to call her today for something blessed me with time to talk with her. I know the Lord sparked the thoughts and events that led to talking today. We both really needed the support and outlet provided by today's conversation. The Lord knows what we need and when. Today was an example of that for me.

Today I was prompted to go purchase something I was going to put off. By doing it today I recieved a $45 discount. I am so grateful the Lord was looking out for us and helping our finances.

Today I was able to stay home and take care of my family. The Lord blessed us with a day to rest and recuperate. It was a blessing for all of us. I know the Lord knew we needed a day to chill and He provided that.

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was out and it was cool outside. The weather was perfect. Days like this just prove to me that the Lord loves His children. There are beautiful things to see, hear and smell. With all the beauty around it sings that a very skilled and perfect Hand crafted it all. I know there is a God because of everything we have. I also know He loves us because of all that we have been given.

Today I was able to spend time with my brother and his family. When the Lord provides time for us to spend together I am very grateful. He lives the furthest away of my family and we don't see them as often as I would like. We had a great time today.

I was able to spend some time with my husband and no kids. I love my children but I also love when the Lord provides us time to just be us. Families are important so the mom and dad need to stay strong or the rest falls apart.

Today has not been a good day. It seems like most things that could go wrong did and things that I was not expecting popped up and made me sad. Through all of this I am so grateful for the knowledge and assurance that the Lord loves me. I know He is watching and helping me hit every curve ball thrown my way. I have not been the most pleasant so I haven't been very deserving of His attention but I have felt it all the same. He loves everyone.

I am very grateful for the mild (to a point) children the Lord has blessed me with. I am very blessed to have four children who have never done anything to me out of meanness or spite. They are normal kids and get in trouble but I have been blessed with children who love me. They are not always obedient but I know they care. Not every parent has that assurance. I am very blessed that the Lord granted me a chance to be a mom to some good kids.

Today I was able to find a book for my son at the library so he could do his assignment. This may not seem like much but I have a hard time finding the books he needs at our local library. They always seem to be checked out. I am grateful the Lord prompted me to look, even though I wasn't even going to bother this time. The Lord is in the details, always.

I prayed for the rain to stop and the sun for just one hour while I was doing my primary lesson. I needed to take my 3 year olds outside and go for a nature walk to look at things that grow. The Lord answered my prayer and our walk was a success. I am grateful He listened to my prayer.

Today I was able to exceed my goal in a challenge. I went with my sister and mom to participate in a stair climb with all proceeds going for cancer research. 24 flights of stairs counts as one time. Then you get on the elevator and go to the bottom and go up again. I signed on to do two times. I made it over 3. I know I was supported by the Lord and was given strength to keep myself motivated but also those around me. The feeling of love and peace and hope of those there was amazing. Cancer is not fun. It is not convenient. It is not something we plan on. The Lord works in His own way and sometimes through things like this we are molded into the people He wants us to be. I am grateful that my mom is a survivor. I am grateful for those who have gone before and made it so research was possible; so that leaps have been made in fighting and recovery for those effected. My mom might not be here if it wasn't for those who donate time and money and I know she was supported by the Lord and that her doctors were inspired. The Lord knows His children and He helps all that are willing to let Him.

Day 64 of 2016

I was reminded of how blessed we all are that our state has say in our government and, with that, we also have a voice. Living in a democracy is a blessing many take for granted and they see it as their right. Our ancestors fought long and hard in partnership with the Lord to give us those rights. Our armed forces and honest government leaders still, to this day, fight for those rights to be kept. The Lord has truly blessed me with living in this country. The government is not perfect but it is better than some alternatives. I was able to visit our state captiol with 2 of my children and my dad. It put a lump in my throat to see a free people in action voting and making their voices heard. We had state troopers there protecting our citizens and guiding people to where they needed to be. It was a great experience and I hope the children caught the spirit of freedom and how important it is. The best thing we can do for our country is to worship God so that He will hear our cries and answer them.

Today I am grateful for a loving husband who listens. I just wanted to talk and get some 'girl problems' off my chest and he listened and let me vent a bit. I was very grateful for that. The Lord blessed RJ with a wonderful ability to listen. This gift is a gift for me now because I benefit from it. The Lord knew RJ would need it being married to me!

Today I was able to do a craft with my sister (I say with but she mostly did it all. I had no idea what I was doing). I wasn't planning on it but I am so glad I was promoted to be prepared for it because she did an excellent job. She knew basically what to do and I am so grateful she was here to help me bungle through it. The Lord sends good people to me all the time. I am grateful most of them I can call family.

Today I was able to go for a walk outside in the warm weather with my kids. I love the snow and I love winter but it was nice to get out without snow boots and go for a walk. The Lord blessed us with a beautiful day to do so. He also blessed me with the inspiration to go for a walk. I wouldn't of thought of it on my own. Wonderful idea.
