Today I was able to find all my girls their new pajamas. Not something huge for most people but I had 3 girls who were tired and over stimulated from an exciting day. Finding all my girls new and favorite pair of pajamas helped calm everyone down and get them into bed. I am grateful I listened to the prompting and found them. The Lord knew my girls needed their sleep.

Today we had a wonderful evening with our Mimi. We enjoyed each other's company and my son learned to play Chinese checkers better. I am so grateful the Lord gave us such a wonderful grandmother to spend time with and I am grateful we have such a nice relationship with her.

Today the Lord helped us find a sway bar to my dads trailer. He lost it after dark so it was almost impossible to find. We said a little prayer and the Lord put all the conditions right so that my husband could see it in the road. I am grateful we found it.

Today we were blessed to get a gift from RJ's boss. I am so grateful that they love and appreciate him. They treat him so good and make him feel good about the work he does. I am so very grateful the Lord brought him to this job and that we are doing so much better now because he is happy.

Today RJ was able to stay home with us. His work gave him the day off for the holidays. This was a lovely blessing. We all stayed home and just enjoyed the day. No stress, now running around. It was wonderful and just what we needed.

Day 358, 359 and 360 of 2016

This is a three day post because we have been really busy. My heart is full though. The Lord is wonderful.

358- We went caroling around to houses today and we felt prompted to go and knock on two doors that had some elderly folk who are very dear to us. It made their night and they were so happy to hear and see us. It made me feel so loved and I felt the Lord wanted them to know they were not forgotten and they were loved.

359- I love Christmas Eve! It is always filled with family and lots of fun. We saw all our family in this area. Christmas is about Christ and how He made it possible to be with our families forever. I am so grateful for the family He gave me.

360- One of my favorite days of the year. I love that today is dedicated to Christ and family. He is the best gift I could receive and the gift of eternal families is a gift I have everyday. Merry Christmas everyone! I hope it was full of family, love and the spirit of Christ.

Today my son earned another 💯 on his spelling test. At the beginning of the year it would take 3 tries for him to get above 80. Now he gets 100 or in the 90's on his first try. He has been working so hard and I know that the Lord has helped him. I know the Holy Ghost helps him remember his words so he can do well. I am so grateful the Lord helps my children all the time. It give me such comfort as a mother.

Today I was able to go have lunch with my mom, just the two of us. It has been a long time since we could do that. It was really nice to talk and have a good time together. My mom is one of my best friends. I'm grateful that the Lord gave me a wonderful mother and a good friend all in one.

I am grateful for friends. We went around and gave our friends little gifts from the kids. It was so much fun to see the kids faces as they gave their presents away. I love this season and the feeling of giving and good will. I am glad we found the time that we could go delivering as a family.

Today I was able to take 3 of my 4 children shopping individually for presents for their siblings. The thought and love they put into it was very endearing. I am so grateful the Lord blessed me with such wonderful children. They drive me crazy most days but they are good kids and they do love each other. What a wonderful blessing.

Today we had a wonderful family gathering. I am so grateful the Lord has blessed me with a family and a house that we can gather in. We have so much fun together and I love having them in my home. The Lord's spirit was here and I felt it testify of the importance of family and enlarge my love for all of them. I love Sundays.

Today I was able to help a friend move. I didn't know if I would be able to because I have an infected toe and I couldn't even wear shoes yesterday. I prayed last night that I would be able to wear shoes and help. I woke up this morning and was able to put on shoes and I lasted all day with shoes on. I am so grateful the Lord blessed me with healing so I could help a friend.

Today my son was his old self. He was sick all night. He was promised in a blessing that if he rested he would get well soon. I was expecting Saturday. He ate and drank today and was well. I made him stay in bed but his color came back and his energy and his appetite. I am so grateful for the powers of the priesthood and the power of God's love.

Today I was able to do something so fun with my husband. We were able to play Mr. and Mrs. Claus for a special needs gathering. I was a little worried because I have an infected toe and my outfit involved wearing tall heels. I asked the Lord to help me last through  the activity and that's all I needed. My prayer was granted. For the activity I was good. But when it was over the pain returned and I couldn't walk in the heels again. I am so grateful for His help. It meant so much to the kids and will be a cherished memory.

Today I was able to keep my temper when my youngest was not cooperating at the store. I am working very hard to be more patient and I think I accomplished it today with the help of the Spirit. The good Lord knew I needed help and I was not disappointed. I hope that I can continue to get better.

Today I was able to find a simple piece of wood we needed for family night. In December we have each of the kids take a turn telling the nativity story on Monday night for family night. Tonight our son was telling the story and we realized the set we let the kids use to tell the nativity was missing the angel. It is a simple set of little wooden pieces with stickers on the front that are the angel, wise men, Mary, baby Jesus in His cradle and so forth. The angel is a pretty important part of the story. We looked but as time was growing short I called off the search and he used a replacement angel from another set. As I was sitting there I had the very clear impression of where to look. I went right over, found the angel and gave it to my son. I am grateful for inspiration on even simple things like a lost block of wood but to my kids is an angel.

Today I was able to have an honest discussion with my son. I am so grateful for the Spirit to tell me when and what to say sometimes. Being a parent is a hard job and I would not be able to do it without the help of the Spirit.

Today I was able to spend time with my parents. I love both my parents. I am grateful the Lord has seen fit to let me have them here with me on earth still. They have both had major health problems. I am very blessed to still have them here.

My daughter was very sick yesterday. She received a blessing last night. She slept all through the night and then was much better today and even took a nap, which is not normal for her at all. I am so grateful for her healing.

Today I was prompted as to how to take care of my daughter who got a stomach bug. She has been sick all day but is doing better because, I believe, of promptings I recieved and followed through with. I am very grateful.

I was able to take a treat to a neighbor who needed it. I also was prompted to contact a friend before I went over for a visit we had planned. She wasn't going to make it and as I have a head cold I was grateful not to be standing in the cold waiting for her. The Lord takes good care of me.

Today my dad found my sons ds that he lost in the snow. It has been outside for almost a week. The snow melted enough my dad found it today. It was still on and it still works. I know the Lord helped save my boys ds. I felt a calm and sweet assurance when we were looking for it that it would be found and it would be alright. My impression was correct and I am grateful the Lord gave me and my family peace until it was found.

One of our kids in primary choked on a piece of candy. RJ was able to do dislodge it and the boy was fine. I am so grateful the Lord was watching out for that little boy and inspired RJ on what to do.

We were able to get our utility trailer fixed. RJ ran into a problem but then he received some inspiration that made it possible for him to fix our electrical and now we can use it for our Christmas hay ride.

Today I was able to teach my son a lesson on being sensitive to other people's feelings. I was inspired with what to say. The Lord always knows how to put things better than me. I am grateful that I am never alone in my parenting. I always have Someone who knows more than me.

I am not a very social person. I don't go to many social functions because it stresses me out. I am happy that today I went to a meeting of our women's group for church and I did alright. I wasn't too stressed and I had a good time. I am grateful the Lord helped to strengthen me so I could relax a bit and not be too anxious.

I was able to watch my oldest get her first job in our church. It was such a wonderful experience to watch her accept an assignment from the Lord. Such a great day!

Today I was able to buy one of our children's Christmas presents with some reward money given to us by our grocery store. I had forgotten about the promotion that they were doing and it came as a wonderful surprise to be able to purchase her presents for far less than I was expecting. What a tender mercy.

Rj was able to come home early. We got a lot of errands out of the way. I am so grateful the Lord blessed RJ with such a great job and one we can depend on. Also, one that is good to him and respects him.

Today I am grateful we live in a day of miracles. My daughter broke her glasses and we ordered new ones. They said it would take 5-7 days, maybe longer because of the holiday. I told my daughter to pray and have faith. Her glasses came today. Only 3 days after ordering them. What a wonderful testimony builder for her and a faith builder. It touched my heart that our Father would be just as concerned about a broken pair of glasses as my little girl. God is good.

Today I was able to go shopping with my grandmother. She is the sweetest little lady and I am so grateful for her. We had a blast shopping and picking out things for Christmas. I am so grateful I was able to go and be with her today. It was fun.

I was able to find a book that I was looking for that my oldest needs to get an award. I looked in a place for it and then looked all over the house and was prompted to look in the place I tried the first time. I found it there. I was so grateful for the Spirit's guidance.

Today I was able to relax and be at peace again. I have been so stressed lately. I was able to breathe and let things go and be good again. It's nice to have my life balanced again. I felt a prompting to go to a certain store which I don't normally go to. At this store I found some shirts for RJ at a really good deal. He needs new shirts. He goes through them quickly. I was very grateful for the guidance that I didn't even know I was looking for at that time.

Today I was able to work through some issues I have been having. The Lord has helped me to accomplish a lot this weekend even though it has been very hard for me. Sometimes I can have small anxiety attacks. I have been able to push through them and do the things required of me. The Lord has carried me through it. I am very grateful.

Today I celebrate my oldest. She has been such a blessing in my life. She is my right arm during the day and a joy to have in our family. She is sweet and strong minded. Today I was able to babysit my niece. She lives further away so I don't get to do that often. It was fun to have her here. I am so grateful for the opportunity. Today we had our Family Home Evening lesson on why we celebrate Thanksgiving. The first Monday of November we talk about what we are grateful for and decorate turkeys to put in our window along with leaves that have specific things written on them that each child is grateful for. It was a wonderful lesson and I felt the Spirit strongly testify about how blessed we are and how much love we have for each other. It was a good time.

Today I felt the Spirit prompt me to bear my testimony during sacrament meeting. I learned a lesson from a childhood experience that came to me right then and so I got up and shared. I felt good about it and I hope it touched somebody. I am grateful for the learning experiences we have.

I was able to get my run in. Today was super busy. I had given up on my run and was very sad about it. I got one project done and a strong prompting came to drop things and do it right then. So I laced up my shoes and ran. I am so grateful I listened or I would not have gotten it done, even after things slowed down tonight.

I didn't loose my temper and get upset when something went wrong with something I was doing. It involved a lot of running around. I would normally loose my cool and get upset. I felt peace. The Lord blessed me with immediate peace that everything would work out. I am so grateful for that feeling.

Today was a good day. The Lord has blessed me with a very fun family. We were able to stay home tonight and greet trick or treaters all dressed the same. We like to do themes and this year was no different. We were blessed with nice neighbors who brought their cute kids. Our family had a good time. Halloween is not a religious holiday but the Lord blessed us with some family time and families are what make holidays special.

Today the Lord prompted me on ways to help lengthen my primary lesson. Teaching 4 year olds can be tricky. The material is very easy to go through quickly. You have to be inventive sometimes on ways to lengthen the lesson. I am very grateful the Lord blessed me with ideas on how to make it longer and work out well.

I was able to get up and run in the morning on a Saturday. That is a tender mercy (miracle). The Lord gave me the energy and motivation to not only get up and not sleep in but also to get my run in first thing. It was wonderful. I haven't had that sort of motivation or energy in a long time. It was a wonderful blessing today.

Today I was able to get some things for Christmas. The Lord knows the care I try to put into some traditions we have and how stressed I get with deadlines like Christmas. Getting the purchases out of the way helps me concentrate on the true meaning of Christmas. I am grateful to have already gotten some done.

I was able to give blood today. I am grateful the Lord gave me the opportunity and made me healthy to. Giving blood has new meaning for me since my moms life was saved because of blood donations from strangers. She could not reproduce her own blood while she was going through chemo treatments. I was reminded today of how blessed I am to still have my mom and part of that goes to the anonymous angels who donated blood. I hope that my donation can help someone else keep their loved one with the Lord's help.

Today I exercised. If you have been following me then you know I love to exercise but don't get to as often as I would like. Between teaching my children and getting sick and taking care of 2 households I don't get to do as much as I would like. I am so grateful when the spirit whispers, "Hey, now would be a perfect time." I realize it would be a good time to exercise and I jump on it. I did that today and it felt great.

Today I was able to get our house in order and cookies made for a party in the perfect amount time. It seriously felt as though time stood still sometimes when I looked at the clock. I am so grateful the Lord helped me get things organized with the amazing help of my children in the time we had.

Today we had FHE at my mom and dad's house with my special needs brother. My brother was so excited to help give the scripture. He had his bible out and ready before any of us even sat down. I am so grateful the Lord blessed me with a brother who is a great example of loving Christ and wanting to learn about and talk about Him. It made my heart happy.

Today I did more than I have in a week. I feel stronger and I am excited that I will be back to normal and 100% in a few days. The Lord didn't bless me with immediate healing but He has been with me through my weakness and now I feel Him as I get stronger as well. Also, He has given me a wonderful family that has stood by me and helped me.

Today I was able to go have a fun time with the kids and let them run all over and pick out pumpkins and play with their cousins. It was a wonderful experience and I am grateful the Lord gave me the strength and ability to go even though I am not yet well. It was a much needed get away for all of us.

Today I received an email that gave me a coupon for dinner. It made everything affordable and I got to eat what I wanted without breaking the bank and I didn't need to cook as I am still sick. I am so grateful I received this coupon right when I needed it.

I was able to rest today and my family helped with everything. RJ taught our lesson and the kids cleaned up and watched the little one. My brother and his wife made dinner and dessert. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Even though I have been ill I was able to get everything done for a family party today. The Lord blessed me with family to help clean things up and I got all the cooking done. It all turned out wonderful. He also blessed our family with our little ray of sunshine who's motto is "Be happy!" We celebrate her light today and her laughter.

I was able to get a free smoothie today. I have not been feeling well and with all the bills we have sometimes money is tight. I wanted a fruit smoothie to help my body get some nutrition. Getting a free smoothie was a tender mercy I was not expecting. I felt prompted to pursue a web site and signed up for their rewards club and next thing I know I have a free smoothie to celebrate my birthday last month. The Lord looks out for me every time I am sick and I am so grateful.

I am grateful for fall. I love this season and am so grateful to the Lord for all the beautiful colors and the crispness to the air. The Lord knew I would be happy in a place with the season of fall. I am grateful He has placed me in the state and city I am in. I am very happy.

Today I got to run on the treadmill and had the energy for it. I haven't had much energy for over a week. It was nice to stretch my legs. I am so grateful for the energy and time the Lord gave me to get a run in.

Today my little one had to go to the dentist. We had a bribe for her, she had a movie on, and she received a blessing. The dentist was able to do her work quickly and efficiently. I know it was the blessing that gave her courage and also gave me promptings at times as to what to say and how to comfort her so she was not upset or traumatized. It also saved us thousands of dollars by having him do it rather than go to a kid dentist who would put her to sleep and charge more. I am really grateful for all the blessings we received during this event.

Today I was able to get a lot of my work done. Cleaning up from camping is not easy. I got a lot put away and got my 3rd child caught up with school. I am grateful for tender mercies of the Lord in helping me to accomplish all I did.

I am so blessed and grateful to have a loving bishop (ecclesiastical leader in my church) to help me with problems and give counsel on things that are toubling me. The Lord truly inspires those He calls to lead His people. My husband and I met with him on how to deal with some friends in a legal matter and he was so understanding and helpful. I know He listens to the Lord and I can trust him. Bishops who listen and obey the Lord are His hands on earth.

I have been camping so I haven't been able to post. These past four days I have felt the love and the hand of God being in His mountains. We have watched the beautiful stars each night, felt the warmth of a roaring fire at night, seen a doe in a golden field, heard the frogs croaking in a near by stream... It has been wonderful up there. I felt truly blessed to have the pleasure of being there. I am so grateful for nature and for the beautiful earth the Lord has given all of us.

As I was waiting for my mother to pick up her prescription from the pharmacy after we bought some groceries for a camping trip I saw a young man buying groceries. He had no money and was using a state program to pay for food for him and his young son.  I am so blessed to have my husband working and bringing in income so we can buy groceries and be able to go camping. We are not in want. The Lord has helped to make us self sufficient.

Today it was my turn to give a lesson for our Family Home Evening. I honestly forgot and had not come up with a lesson. As I was trying to think of something a book came to mind that I knew exactly where it was. It was a child's book I hadn't read in a while and didn't remember what it was about. I followed the Spirit and thought, 'Whatever it's about I will just go with it.' It turned out to be about something that my husband and I have been meaning to talk to our kids about. I am grateful for the prompting to go get the book. It made a good lesson.

Our class today was great. The Lord has been helping RJ and I to connect better with our kids. One of our boys even joined in one of the games, which he has never done. It was wonderful. The Lord is active in our class and I am grateful for that.

Today I was able to listen to the first session of the General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This first session is for women. We all get together as family and friends and neighbors and watch it at one of the chapels nearest to us. Some go into Salt Lake City and watch it at the Conference Center but for the most part women watch it together at their own Stake Center (chapel). I am so grateful I was able to go with my oldest daughter and my mother and sit at the Stake Center with them. It was so much fun and I could feel the Spirit speak to me as I listened to the inspired words given. It was a wonderful night. God lives and He loves all of us.

RJ and I were in a lip sync for a variety show. We were both nervous but it went very well. I am grateful that the Lord helped calm our nerves and also that He gave us the chance to do such a fun thing together.

Today I was able to sit and listen to my oldest sing her little sisters to sleep. It was the sweetest moment I have had as a mom in a couple days. I have been blessed with very thoughtful and gifted children. They look out for each other (most of the time) and they love each other. The Lord has been very wise to send me who He did. Our family is just right for each other.

Today was a very productive day. I am very grateful for all I was able to do. I know I didn't do it alone and I had help from the moment I got up. The Lord is my strength literally sometimes when I really don't want to go on. I swear He makes my body move and things get done.

Today I was able to cut my dogs hair on top of all my other duties. Our poor little Lady needed a cut something awful. The Lord blessed me with excellent multitasking abilities today and I got a lot done. I am very grateful when the Lord clears my head and helps keep everything on track.

Today I got all the cleaning done I wanted to before our house was inspected even though I had to take everyone to the dentist. This was a miracle in itself. Also, only two of the five of us had a cavity. This is another miracle. Small miracles happen everyday, sometimes we just have to sit back and look for them after everything has settled down.

Today we came home safe and were able to get a lot accomplished. We put our yard in order and even had time for a fire in our new fire pit. It was a lot of fun and I am so grateful for the time we had camping and for the time we had today to work together. What a blessing marriage and family are.

We were blessed to find a problem in our pipes in our trailer while camping. This came about in an odd way and started with our toilet overflowing. In the end we fixed a leak we didn't know we had and found our water heater. All of this was done and fixed without having to leave our camp site or buy any parts. It was a wonderful blessing.

Today I have had a wonderful birthday right down to there being only one quart of my favorite ice cream being available at the store which RJ used to make me my annual cookie shake. Being lactose intolerant makes ice cream harder to find. I know the Lord has made this a wonderful birthday with earthly and heavenly angels to help. I am very blessed.

Today I was a little bummed because I got a birthday present in the mail and after taking out the instructions and parts I saw that they had sent the wrong parts to me, or so I thought. I wanted to put it together and had been waiting for it. As I was wondering what to do and was going to go out to my husbands garage and see what he had to fix the problem I had a thought come to mind. Then in my minds eye I saw how it went together. They hadn't sent the wrong hardware, they had sent the wrong instructions. After doing what I was prompted to do the bench went together perfect. I am so grateful for the promptings of the spirit. I would have wasted a lot of time and energy trying to find a solution to the wrong problem. Having a constant guide is a wonderful thing.

Today I was very happy to get so much done. I was able to exercise and get housework done and help the kids with their school work. I know the Lord was helping and pushing me the whole way. Family is the best. As I sat on my back patio and enjoyed my breakfast I soon had all my kids and my husband out there with me. It become louder but it felt right. Sitting by myself was quiet and nice for a while but when my family came out it felt complete. I am so grateful the Lord gave me a beautiful family to keep me company and to keep me busy.

We have been blessed with all the projects we have gotten done with our rock. I thought we were done but we found another use for it today and we have almost gotten it done. It has been wonderful. Today we finished our rock projects. This is a tender mercy because we should not have but I had 3 hours to work on it in the day and my brother and brother in law came over to help after RJ got off work. With those two things combined we finished tonight. I am grateful the Lord gave me the time and sent some helpers. It feels so good to be done!

Today I was able to multitask very well and got all of my tasks that I needed finished done before 10:00 pm. I am so grateful that the Lord sharpened my mind so I could complete all these things. I know I am weak but with the Lord I can do anything, even move mountains (of rock).

Today, with the help of my awesome brother, we were able to finish preparation for our park strips getting rock. I am so grateful the Lord gave us today to get it done and blessed us with my brother to help. It feels so good to finally have our rock projects for our house almost done. We just have the rock to be delivered and to smooth it out. I am so very grateful and happy.

We only had one little sunbeam today. This was a tender mercy for me because I was not feeling 100% and didn't want to wrestle five 3 year olds. The lesson went wonderful and we all had a good time. I am grateful for small mercies from the Lord.

Today we were able to get a lot done with our house. We had a good day working and getting things put in order. I know the Lord loves order so I know we have had help. Today I was able to find a talk I was looking for in general conference. I had to start in 1980 and work my way, talk by talk, until I found it. There are two conference every year so I went through 14 conferences. At least I was only looking at one speaker's talks (He still had at least two a conference. Some he had 3 talks). I know the Lord was helping me and some kind family members from the other side so I could put together my little project. I am grateful for the help and that I got it done.

Today I was able to stay home and catch up on a few things that have fallen through the cracks while I have been with my dad. I got a lot done and I am so grateful the Lord aligned my day that school and the kids all worked out so I could get some cleaning done.

Today I was able to go my first full day with no sweets. I am not totally taking them out of my diet but I am cutting back. Today was a very busy day but I am very grateful the Lord gave me the opportunity to help my dad. It added to my to-do list but it actually made my stress level go down because I knew my dad was being taken care of and not home alone. I am so grateful that I am home during the day and that I could take my kids over and still take care of my responsibilities and take care of him. Being a stay-at-home mom is such a huge blessing.

Today my dad was able to come home from the hospital. This is a miracle. His stay was short for his surgery but we all wanted him home. He heals better at home. I am so grateful the Lord gave him the strength to be able to accomplish what the doctors felt he should before coming home. The Lord truly has blessed us immensely this past week.

Today we were able to get a lot of things done on our to-do list. I am so grateful the Lord helped us get so much done today. He also has been with my dad today. Today I was able to go out on a date and take my mother to dinner. I had two of my best friends in the same place. I also was able to see my dad and he is still making improvements. Sorry, I went camping so you get four days in one post.

231- I remembered everything we needed for camping and got it packed. With my memory this was a miracle. I know the Lord was promoting me to know what to bring ahead of time so we could have a good trip.

232- My little girl almost fell into the fire when we were cooking marshmellows. I know the Lord protected her and helped her catch her balance so she didn't fall. This particular daughter has a habit of falling down. She hasn't perfected her balance yet. I am so grateful she did fall and the Lord was watching out for her.

233- Watching my children play and have fun in nature was beautiful. I sat and relaxed under a big tree and watched my family have a great time together surrounded by all the wonderful creations the Lord has given us. It was a peaceful moment and a wonderful memory.

234- I was touched by a wonderful blessing given to my brother. I could feel the Lord's spirit and power as I listened. I am grateful for priesthood power to bless and heal all members of the human race. The Lord loves everyone and is willing to bless them and help them. I am glad my brother asked for help and that the Lord was there to help him.

Today my brother came over and played with my kids. The Lord blessed me with an amazing brother. We were not the best of friends growing up, he had his friends and I had mine. Now that we have gotten older he has become a wonderful friend to me and my husband and an awesome uncle. The Lord really blessed me with a great family.

Today I was able to finish a labor intensive project. I know the Lord helped me with it and gave me the strength in my muscles as it involved shoveling a lot of rock. I am pleased with the outcome. I know I couldn't have done it without the help of my Father. We make a good team.

Today we got the bill for our roof and it was for less than we thought. They had to put more boards down than was in our contract but the crews gave a good word for us and we were not charged extra. This is a tender mercy. I am grateful for the Lord looking out for us and also for helping us to become the people that impressed the workers to the point that they did put in a good word for us. We have been blessed.

Today I was able to go to the Antiques Roadshow with my oldest and my grandmother. We had a blast. I am so grateful the Lord helped us get tickets to go. Today we got a part replaced for our air conditioner that would have been very expensive but the store let us exchange it for a new one. I am so grateful for this as we are doing a lot of projects on our little budget right now. The Lord has been looking out for us.

Today we were blessed numerous times with things pertaining to our new roof. The crew was nice and polite, fast and skilled and it was done in perfect temperature. The house stayed cool even though they had to unhook the swamp cooler so we could install a new one. We have received many blessings and I know the Lord has been looking out for us.

Today I was able to recover something on the computer that I needed. The Spirit prompted me to search online for the solution. I found it and was able to retrieve the video I had lost. I am so grateful for promptings and for the technology we have. The Lord inspired great men and women to give us so much in way of technological advancements. I sometimes want to pull my hair out with technology but it really is quite awesome what the Lord has given us.

Today I got up and wasn't going to go to church. I was in pain and not feeling well. I decided that I needed to go. I knew that it would do me good. I got to church and my pains went away and I was able to enjoy all 3 hours. I am so grateful the Lord took my pain away so I could enjoy my Sunday. It was wonderful.

Today I was able to fix something on our old suburban which has been bothering me but I could never think of a way to fix. I am getting it ready to sell and was cleaning it when the solution just popped into my head. I know it was inspiration and I am so grateful that the Lord makes me smarter than I am. I went to the eye doctor today with one of my girls. She failed her school eye test so I made an appointment. Our doctor was wonderful with her and she does not need glasses and my prescription hasn't changed either. I was so grateful for that and see it as a tender mercy since we have a lot of money going out right now and buying two pairs of glasses would not have been cheap.

Today I said good bye (for now) to a good friend as she goes on her mission. RJ was able to stay home so he could say good bye to her as well. The way he stayed home was not what was expected but him staying home I see as a tender mercy so that he could say good bye and we could get a picture of all of us together before she left. I took it to the Lord and had it confirmed to me that what was happening was what was supposed to happen and that I was where I needed to be. Today has been a little trying. A lot of things have just stacked on top of each other to make life a little interesting around here. Today my youngest also became ill, as my oldest has been ill all week. My youngest came down with something completely different but a 3 year old is cranky no matter what sickness it is. I felt like I couldn't handle any more but the Lord and I talked and He convinced me I could handle it. He was right. I made it through today with His help and tomorrow I will do the same. It will all work out.

Today I was prompted to have my dad help my son with a project. I am so glad I listened. I think it was good for my dad and for my son to work together. Today a silly prayer was answered. Well, I say silly because it was nothing spiritual at all. My iPad wasn't working and I asked the Lord in a quick prayer to help me figure out why it wasn't. Today we celebrate a holiday near to my heart and proof, to me, that the Lord is ever present in my life. Today we celebrate freedom and independence for our country (and our self to an extent). I know the Lord had a very firm hand in the shaping of our country, our constitution, our government and our right to certain freedoms. I know that the Lord wants us to be a free people. A people to act and think for ourselves and not be dictated to. This is how the Lord runs His government and He tried to put ours as close as society will let it. We have flaws and we have imperfect people running things a lot but we are still here. As long as there is a band of faithful Christians in the land we will have His protection. Today was an active day in our sunbeam class. Our little 3 year olds were a little bit of a hand full. I am so grateful for the Spirit and the help I recieved to have the patience and the temperament to deal with all the little kids. I love my little sunbeams but anyone will go crazy after awhile. I am happy the Lord helps me to see each child as a child of God and to want to love them, even when I also want to pull out my hair.

Today I was able to find an item for my mom that she has wanted for a long time. I do not believe in coincidence. I know the Lord guided me to a yard sale and from it I learned about a dear friend moving and I was able to acquire this item at a price that my mom could afford. I am grateful for the prompting and that I listened.

Today RJ had a doctors appointment and it went very well. I feel that this was inspired and that the Lord is looking out for our family and my husband especially. When he suffers we all suffer. I know we have hope of getting him better. I am very grateful for all the work the Lord has put into us.

This post is being done the next day because a huge blessing I recieved was that I was in bed and asleep by 10:00 pm. This hardly ever happens. My sweet husband took care of everything and let me sleep. I am so grateful the Lord helped me to get some much needed rest.

Today RJ's boss came to our house and talked with him. It was such a tender mercy to have his boss here and have him put RJ at ease and tell him how much he means to the company and that they sincerely care for him. It brought tears to my eyes and I am so thankful to the Lord for RJ's place of work and the place we are at in our lives.

Today has been an unexpected gift of time with my RJ. He was able to stay home from work today and we were able to spend time together. It was relaxed and fun to have a day to do whatever. We got some errands done we wanted to and we just stayed together. It was nice. I am grateful for happy times like these where the Lord reminds me how special marriage is.

I am very blessed to be surrounded by wonderful priesthood holders. Someone I love dearly became ill and I felt very strongly that he needed a blessing. I felt prompted as to who to suggest to give it as well. The blessing given was very sweet and I felt the Lord's spirit very strong. I am so grateful I listened. I know this blessing helped and gave strength to my loved one. Miracles still happen and will continue to happen as long as we believe.

Today I was able to do many things by inspiration because throughout the week I had been prompted to look and listen to things around me. I was able to teach a primary lesson that I had not planned on teaching and I was able to help my daughter give a talk which I had forgotten about. I am grateful for the help of the spirit when my day does not go as planned and I have to roll with it.

A little puppy was playing in our yard and I felt impressed to catch it and try to find its owner. It took some convincing to the puppy that we were okay but we got her and called. When they came to get her we found out she was deaf. I don't know what might have happened but I am grateful I listened to the prompting and helped the little puppy. The Lord loves His children and His creations.

Today I read my scriptures from my favorite set of scriptures (the set I recieved when I was 11). This set has been through seminary and most of my life with me. I love this set. I have been reading from the app on my phone and didn't realize how much I was missing. I had such a great time reading today. I am so grateful the Lord prompted me to read from a book today and not from my phone. It was wonderful.

I lost something I bought at the store. I looked everywhere. I remembered it hours after I went to the store and had the kids searching all over asking them repeatedly if they took it (it was a chocolate item). I could have sworn it came into the house with me because I could hear the rattling of the nuts in the box. As I was thinking it over I felt prompted to check my purse. As I was looking it over I shook my purse and heard a rattling. It was a pack of gum. I realized my argument to my children that  the chocolate nuts had to have made it into the house because of the noise I heard while walking into the house was no longer usable. It was my gum I heard. I felt prompted to call the store. They had them at the front because the cashier had forgotten to put them in my bag. A box of chocolate nuts may seem like a little thing but it was important to me because they were going to be used as a treat to help with potty training and I needed them. I am so grateful the Lord steps in and helps even on little things, like chocolate nuts and potty training.

I had to give a presentation and I was a little nervous. I said a prayer and I was able to go through it and say what I thought was needful. I am very grateful for all the help the Lord gives me in dealing with people. I have some social issues and I am always amazed at the strength I am given by the Lord to help get through some things.

Today we celebrate fathers. I am grateful everyday for a loving God who lets us call Him Father. That is such an intimate title and it brings such comfort and joy. I am grateful for His loving guidance and for His watchful eye. He is the perfect role model for any father. I am also grateful He gave me a wonderful father at birth who has loved me and taught me so much. I am grateful for another father He gave me by marriage who loves me like his own. I have been richly blessed.

Today I was given a blessing before doing something very hard for me. The blessing gave me strength and peace as I finished my task and moved on to other things. I love to have family over. I love to feel a house full of laughter and to know that I belong. I am so very grateful for families and the essential part they play in the Plan of Happiness. Family units are our training ground for eternity and I am so glad I get a practice run first. Not everyone has the same views as you. Not everyone follows the same leader as you. Not everyone makes the decisions you would. These are facts of life. Sometimes we need to let go of the fact that people are different than us and love them for who they are. I am so grateful the Lord has helped me to see this and has been helping me to get over my own weaknesses in this area. I have been able to truly get to know some people and love them without asking where they come from and judging them from their past. The past cannot be changed but the future can. The atonement of Christ is real and it is why we are here. I am working everyday to be better about letting others make their own decisions and loving them no matter what. It does not mean I condone or support a decision they make but I can let them know that it is theirs to make but I am always there. I am grateful the Lord is helping me to become a better friend.

Today I was reminded of how sweet my oldest daughter is. The Lord has blessed my life with her spirit and her willingness to help. We went to a splash pad and my brother with special needs came. He was reluctant to get into the water without someone with him. My sweet girl came and went with him all over. Watching them play filled my heart with gratitude for all the blessings I have and the wonderful family I have been blessed with. Moments like this make me look forward with excitement for eternity with my family.

Today I was able to rest from another infection I have. I had many things planned but I felt prompted to rest and I am glad I listened. By the end of the day today I was exhausted. Had I done more today I think I would have made it difficult for my body to fight. I love the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Today I was given protection in an odd way. I have a very weak stomach and have a hard time taking care of people throwing up. Most of the time RJ takes care of it so I don't get sick. Today he couldn't. My little sister was very sick and she has Down syndrome. She has a hard time taking care of some things. She needed a bath and this was something that a sister needed to help with until Mom could come home. The Lord blessed me and I didn't get sick at all. I was so grateful as my sister needed me. This protection to my gut made it possible for me to help someone I love dearly. The Lord protects us in unique ways sometimes.

I am grateful that I have a family and that we all love and appreciate each other. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Lord has taught me that family is everything. The relationships we form here on earth can follow us into eternity. We never need say goodbye just see you later, because we will see them again. Seeing relationships crumple around me has given me fresh motivation to be the best I can be and to try to bring the best out in others. Families are forever in God's plan.

Today I was able to go and speak with someone about a concern I have for one of my friends. It was very good to get some educated advice and counsel on what to do. I am grateful the Lord has blessed my life with so many people I can go to for advice and counsel. I don't have the answer for everything and some answers are too long and complicated for a simple prayer. The Lord sends people into my life to give me the answer or help me come to it myself. It's a good system.

I am grateful for vets. I am grateful that the Lord blessed me with two good dogs. I took them to the vet today and I am happy that I have somewhere to take them so that they can be healthy. They are both healthy and now up to date on their shots. I can't imagine my life without the friendship of a dog.

I was able to have a wonderful time with family tonight. I am so glad I went to the doctor yesterday or else I would not have felt up to having company. Medicine is wonderful and I am grateful the Lord placed me in a day and age when infections can be diagnosed and treated so easily.

I followed a prompting and went to the doctor although I felt I didn't need to. I am really glad I listened to the Spirit because I had a major infection and now I am on medicines and will get better. Sometimes the Spirit has to speak to us in a loud voice to get past our pride.

I wish that I had something spectacular to write about every day. Well, I take that back. Part of why I am doing this is to show that the Lord is in the details. He is in the everyday times of our lives that we think something is 'luck' or a coincidence. I love picking things out of my day, everyday, that repeat and show me the Lord is a steady and living force in my life. Today I had a normal day. In that normal day I see safety for my family that is heaven sent more often than I know, I think. I see conveniences that I have that help my life run smoothly. These are blessings from a loving Father. I see family that love and support me. The Lord knew exactly who to pair me with so I could be the best that I can be. I see natural beauty. This world is full of beautiful things that keep happening everyday like sunsets and sunrises and white clouds against a blue sky and flowers and green grass and mountains and stars and the sun and moon to give us light. All wonders of nature that are a repeated gift to us everyday. Life is better than we think and we have more blessings than we could possibly know. God really does love me and He loves you. Everyday.

Today I didn't have to be a teacher and a mom. It is the first official day of my summer vacation. The Lord saw fit to give the kids and teachers a break with summer vacation. I am very grateful for this and will enjoy everyday of it.

I have been blessed with a wonderful ancestry. My family comes from wonderful, strong individuals who have paved the way for me and all those I love to live a life of freedom and a life of peace. I have many who have fought and died for this country and I have many who have lived their lives in a way that has made us stronger as a nation. My daughter got up in front on 100+ people and sang a solo. 6 months ago she would not have been able to do that. The Lord has helped her to grow so much and to see her inner beauty. As a mother my heart swelled with gratitude to the Lord for this miracle and for the opportunity she had to prove to herself that she is something more than what she thought. She is a Child of God, just like she sang in her song. She is a daughter of noble birthright and destined for so much more than the world tells her she can accomplish. She has gotten a taste of that nobility and I hope it continues to grow and mature until she knows without a doubt where she comes from and where she wants to go back to, our Father's home in Heaven with her family.

Today I was able to go with my family to see some graves and to learn new things about them. I know those who have passed on still are concerned about our lives and like to be remembered as being part of the family. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to play a small part in some of their lives. Today was the finishing touches on the kids school. The Lord has helped us journey through a whole year of home school. I am so grateful for His love and support and the love and support He sent through others. I can't say that I am crazy because of it but I can say I do have more gray hairs than at the beginning. All in all it was a good experience and I would do the same thing over again. The Lord knows what's best and I am grateful He can communicate that to us.

Today I was prompted to do something that made my dad feel better. He had a rotten day and a simple suggestion to get lunch from his favorite place made him feel a little better. I know the Lord is trying to speak to him to let him know it will all be alright. I really pray he listens.

Today my two youngest danced for me in the living room. They both like to do ballet moves. It was the cutest thing and I am so grateful that they love me. The Lord blessed me with such sweet spirits and they remind me on days that are bad that it really is worth it to be a mom. Kids are a blessing that sometimes feel like a curse but I would never trade them or give them up. They have taught me so much and continue to teach me. Someday I will understand why things happen but for now my family and I are good.

Today was a good day. I kept my temper and had a relaxed day with the kids. I was able to go out with my husband and have a date with our Mimi. It was a wonderful time. I felt prompted to text a friend and see how she was doing. She came over and we talked for hours. It was really great to talk with her. She is a person who is genuine. You know where she stands on a subject and you know how she feels about you. I am really grateful the Lord places people in my life to enrich it and to make me grateful for all my blessings. She can be so upbeat about things that it's contagious. It was a good night.

Today I was able to rest while my tummy was not feeling well. The Lord has blessed me with good (not well behaved all the time) children who I knew would not get themselves into serious trouble. They didn't get there work or chores done but they did leave me alone and play by themselves so I could rest. It helped my tummy. I am so grateful for the wonderful children the Lord has given me. They are perfect for me and I hope I am a good fit for them.

I had a project I have been trying to get to and I got the prompting to check out prices even though I hadn't even been planning on it yet. For this day the shadow boxes I needed were on sale buy oneget one free and I had a 30% off entire purchase coupon. I was saved over $30. I am so grateful the Lord prompted me to look and I had the opportunity to go get the stuff.

I am so grateful for the children the Lord has sent me. They are not perfect, far from it, but they are perfect for our family. I love each of their strengths that they bring to our family and how great we all work together. Our oldest gave a lesson today about the first vision of Joseph Smith and she did a wonderful job. The Lord has helped her so much this year to gain confidence and to be able to stand in front of people and do things. It was a great moment tonight to see how the Lord has blessed us all with her sweet spirit.

Today I was able to keep my cool and help one of my little sunbeams, who was just having an off day. I was able to talk him through it and let him relax and he fell asleep in my arms. The little guy just needed some time to rest. I am grateful the Lord didn't leave me alone and helped me know what was best to do for this little guy.

Today I found out that my grandma was selected to recieve tickets to Antiques Roadshow! We are huge fans and I helped her fill out the online application and then we both prayed. The event is just before her birthday and I wanted so bad for this to be her birthday present. I am so grateful the Lord listened to my prayers and she was selected to receive the tickets. We are going to have so much fun!

Today my daughter finished her testing. I really didn't thinks she would get it done. She has testing anxiety and takes a long time to finish tests. She always has. Today she finished up her testing and was not one of the ones who had to come back in for extra time. This is a huge tender mercy for me and the whole family. My daughter is so much happier now that it is over and I don't have to worry about her. After 3 days of 3 hours of tests, so 9 total hours for an 11 year old (ridiculous), she is free. I am so grateful the Lord helped her though it.

Somedays I need to be majorly pushed to get my run done. I like to run and I know it's good for me but some days I am so tired. The Lord pushed me to get on the treadmill and get it done even though I really didn't want to. I know it will help me in the end.

I am grateful that my brother was not in a more serious accident than he was. He fell asleep at the wheel with his daughter in the car. He was going under 10 mph in rush hour traffic so the damage was minimal. I believe the Lord had it happen then so that he would not have fallen asleep later in the trip when his speed would have been much more. I am thankful the Lord protected them and that everyone is okay.

Getting our trailer registered for the year was a lot easier than we had anticipated. I know this was a tender mercy from the Lord. We needed to get it registered for our camping trip this weekend and it had to be done immediately. I am so grateful the Lord blessed the process and made it easier.

I am grateful for the Gospel and the security it brings me that my family can be together forever. I love my family more than anything I have and couldn't imagine life without them. Eternity is not worth looking forward to without my family to share it with. The Lord has granted me, all of us, the opportunity to be with our family forever. I feel so honored to have been a part of the Special Needs production this year. The Lord prompted me and the prompting wouldn't leave me alone. My brother had not wanted to go to the mutual activities for some years and so I haven't asked. This year seemed different, it seemed to be time to go back. My brother won't go without me there so it was a bit of a commitment. I got RJ talked into helping as well. We had a great time. I am so grateful for the prompting the Lord gave me, for the opportunity I had to be in the play and for the Special Needs Mutual program that gives these sweet kids a chance to shine and be a part of something. The Lord works wonders in our lives and it makes life a beautiful tapestry. What a wonderful way to spend a Friday!

Today a small miracle was performed that is performed every last week in April every year for the Special Needs Mutual. Their production was tonight and after seeing how rocky the practices are you would never think they would come off. Every year the Lord blesses these beautiful kids to shine and the play is always a huge success. The Lord loves His children and He provides miracles all the time for them. I witnessed one tonight and I am so glad I could be a part of it.

Today I realized that I had not scanned or saved some of the photos in our house. I have overlooked this and it amazes me. I am a picture fanatic. So through a weird art project I found this error and remedied this. I know the Lord helped prompt the search for a photo that brought me to figure out my error. I am very grateful.

Today the Lord blessed me while doing a project. I was using a sledgehammer in a confined space. My kids listened to me and stayed away, I didn't break anything I was not meaning to break and I didn't hurt myself. I know the Lord protected me and my children at times because I would break part of the shelving I needed to break up and it would fall in the perfect spot, not necessarily where I thought it would but exactly where it needed to so that it wouldn't break my collection of nativities on shelves spread around the room or hit me. The kids never came close, which is a miracle in itself because they usually don't all listen to me at the same time. It worked out perfectly and I am so grateful to the Lord for protecting my family and my property.

I had a very sweet experience with my oldest today at church. She learned a principle of the gospel and learned how important and meaningful the sacrament can and should be. I hope she keeps this experience in her heart and remembers it on days that seem hard. The Lord teaches us when we are ready to learn and hopefully today will stay with her forever.

Everyone who comes into your life comes for a reason. I know the Lord sends some people to us to make us better, to enrich our life and our spirit. The Lord knows life is hard and He gives you some family by blood relation to go to for support and some are our family by choice, aka- friends. To me these people become my family. I grow a deep concern and love for them and I feel they do the same for me and my family. I went to dinner with some of my family by choice today. No matter how long we are apart I feel at ease in their company and know I am safe and loved. The Lord blessed my family with this family years ago when they moved across the street from the home where I was growing up. These wonderful people helped me through many hard times in my life and have shared my joys and sorrows as I have done for them also. I am so grateful to the Lord for their continued love and also that we still are able to see each other and get together. They are a treasured blessing from a loving Father.

Day 113 of 2016

Today I was given patience to try another way of doing school with the kids. They are getting near the end of the year and it shows. They don't want to do their work or leave each other alone. I was given a huge portion of patience to just ignore them. I didn't nag, I didn't yell, I didn't demand they do their work. I was quiet in my speech and just let them do as they wished. BUT they also did not get their work done in enough  time to enjoy many activities I did with the younger siblings, who had listened to me. The Lord gave me the idea and the patience. I think it made a dent but we shall see. Mostly I am grateful for the patience. I felt my anger and frustration would rise and I would feel peace and a sense of purpose. It was a good experience.

Today I typed something that should have taken me about an hour and a half to type in under one hour. This is a miracle to me and I know I had the Lord's help. I can't transcribe that fast. I just can't. So I am grateful for the help so I could get it done quickly.

Tonight I was able to go for a walk, just me and RJ. The Lord blessed us with a beautiful night with crisp air and a colorful sunset. I am very grateful for the beauty all around me that the Lord has blessed us all with.

Day 110 of 2016

Today I walked through a spider web on my front door and the spider was on my leg. It was a large one. A species of wolf spider. Not lethal but would have hurt and made me sick. The Lord prompted me to act immediately and I got it off my leg before it could bite me out of a defense response. I am very grateful that I was not bitten and the Lord let me know what to do.

Day 109 of 2016

Today RJ realized that he had lost a voice memo when he wiped his phone to make it run faster. I was immediately grateful that I had been impressed at the last minute to also record this particular instance on my voice memo. To me this is the scriptures coming to life. Nephi in the Book of Mormon is commanded to make two sets of plates and record his history and teachings on both, the small plates and the large ones. He does not see the need or the reason but when the Lord tells you to do something, you do it. He did. The reason for this didn't come until over two thousand years later when Joseph Smith was translating the Book of Mormon. What happened with the voice memos is just as special to me. I can now keep that piece of history in our family. The Lord works in mysterious ways and it is awesome!

Day 108 of 2016

Today I had a wonderful primary lesson with my little sunbeams. I felt that I was inspired and that the kids felt the spirit of love that I, as their teacher, have for them and that I want to listen to them and encourage them. I am grateful for the opportunity that the Lord has given me to be involved in the life of a child. The Lord loves the little children and I am grateful He trusts me to teach them.

I had a wonderful date with my husband. I love spending time with him. I am so grateful the Lord brought us together and has continued to support us. I am truly blessed to be with RJ for eternity and today was another reminder of why and how much I love him.

Today RJ traveled safely for work. He had a long way to go and I always worry about him. The Lord answered my prayers and brought him home safe. I am grateful that today he was returned safe.

Today I took my daughter to the doctors to get her shots for school and learned that she was current on all her shots and that she wouldn't have them. I was very grateful for this and so was she. She was very worried about getting her vaccines. I was grateful for the blessing of just having her check up and going home.

Rain is wonderful. I love when the Lord opens the heavens and let's the water come down. Living in a desert makes rainfall a wonderful thing. Our garden needed moisture and I am very grateful that the Lord blessed us with lots of it today.

Today I found a great deal on a jogging stroller. RJ and I are trying to get in shape and be healthier and want our children to join us. It is hard for our youngest to keep up so when she gets tired we can put her in the stroller. I am grateful that the Lord promoted my mother, who talked to me and then I was prompted as to where to look. The Lord tries to help us even with simple things. It's wonderful.
