Today I was able to go for a long walk by myself. I know I needed this walk and that the Lord prompted me to go so I could calm down. I was a little over stressed today and needed some cold air on my face and a brisk walk. The Lord knows me best.

Today I was able to rest a lot. I have not been well and am very grateful the Lord blessed me with a wonderful husband. He took wonderful care of me. The Lord blessed me for eternity by putting RJ into my life. Through him I see the Lord's hand often with all he does for me.

Today I was able to see and talk with my good friend who went away to college. She is such a sweet girl. I have missed her smile and energy. We always have a good discussion. The Lord blessed me with the opportunity to be a teacher to her and now we are great friends. The Lord sends people to you who you need and who need you. It's a win win.

Today I was able to have a lot of time with some extended family. Family is the reason for this life. We all have our family unites and I am so grateful for the people the Lord has placed in mine. They are not only my family but my friends. It is a major blessing to have them be both.

Happy Thanksgiving! Today the Lord blessed our family with really nice day. The food was great, it was calm and peaceful, the clean up was easy and everything turned out wonderful. I know that the Lord helped to make today so restful. My dad really needed it. We all really needed it.

Today my RJ came home safe. He had to go on an out of town trip. He was prompted to leave the job site before a storm rolled in so that he could drive home safe and make it home in time for Thanksgiving. The Lord has blessed me by bringing him home to me.

Today I received a prompting that my dad would be okay. He has been very sick and has been going through some trials. We have been very worried for him. As we prayed as a family for him I could feel the Spirit whisper peace to me and that he would be okay. I am so grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost and the comfort He brings.

Today I am grateful for family. I had a thanksgiving party for the kids at our Mimi's house. She is such a wonderful woman and a blessing in my life. I am so grateful the Lord has given her to me to be a grandma and a friend. Any day I get to spend with her is a tender mercy from the Lord.

Today my lesson in primary went well. I am grateful for the help I received from the spirit to make it a good class. We talked about the scriptures and the kids listened to the stories. I will miss my class next year. When they move up it will be sad but happy for them moving on. I was glad for the Spirit to be with us and I hope it is for my last lesson of the year.

Today I was able to do everything I needed to plus some. It was a very active Saturday and I owe it all to the Lord. He got me out of bed, He prompted me as how to organize and maximize my time, He sent help to get some things accomplished that I couldn't do myself and He blessed me with the energy and patience I needed. I am so grateful for today.

Today I went to a discount store and when I was about to walk in I felt a very strong impression that something was there for me if I wanted it. I thought it was a weird impression. I walked through the door and was not there 1 full minute before I was presented with what I knew matched the impression. I was thrilled. RJ didn't question (I hadn't told him about the impression) and he had the cashier box it up for me. It felt so right I couldn't even argue. I brought it home and still feel that it was a gift from my Father. The item, to you, is weird but has come to mean a lot to our little family. It was a complete set for 12 of a beautiful China. For the price we paid I could not have gotten half the pieces. I am trying to bring back the tradition of family dinner and a nice table and linens. It has been fun for our family and has brought us closer as we all sit around a table with nice things. It makes one feel valued to be eating off something of value, to feel like you are special enough to have someone set a special table. This will be a great addition to our collection and hopefully become something our children cherish.

Today I was saved from a fall. I fell backwards getting out of my suburban after buckling our youngest in her seat belt. The fall should have been bad but I don't think I will have any lasting effect from it. I am grateful for the Lord cushioning my fall and also prompting me as I was falling so that I fell in a way that I was not severely injured. I know He protects me everyday from mishaps and I am happy I get to stick around for my family.

Today I was prompted to make a card for my oldest to remind her to remember to read and pray everyday (with ADHD we both have a hard time remembering and focusing). I placed it beside her work station. Later tonight RJ gave her a beautiful blessing and reminded her how important reading and praying was so she could obtain her own testimony. She looked at my card and a light went on. I know the Lord prompted me to make it so that she could make that connection with her blessing. It was fun to see it all come together. The Lord is in the details!

Today while I was doing Sariah's history lesson with her it brought tears to my eyes. The Lord's hand in my life and every citizen of the United States is that we are free. We are free and it is all because of a loving Father who inspired men and woman to want something for themselves and their children and their descendants and their neighbors and their friends. They wanted equality and freedom. They wanted liberty from bondage. What a noble cause and what courage they displayed. I am so grateful for our freedoms and for the Lord who gave them to us. Also, for the men and women who sacrificed so much to make it a reality. God bless this nation every day.

Today we were able to go see our Mimi and have a family night with her. It was a wonderful night and I am so grateful the Lord inspired me to make the plans. I think it was needed for us and for Mimi. I know the Lord had a hand in it. He knows we need to relax and spend down time with each other to be happy and to be rested. I believe tonight helped all of us.

Today I was able to keep my temper in a difficult situation. Also, I was able to help a small child get away from a bully. I am so grateful the Lord put me in the right place at the right time to help. This little boy has already been through so much. The Lord loves him and was watching out for him.

I witness God's hand in my life everyday. I write about it and it gives me also a time to reflect on the day and see all my blessings. Today I saw family I normally don't see because they live a far distance. We had a great conversation. I am grateful the Lord placed me in a store at the exact time I needed to be there. It was awesome.

Also today, I wanted to add how I saw God in someone else's life that touched me. As I was at this same store I spoke of above I witnessed a woman collapse. She was elderly and she had just done too much and her body was letting her know it. The family with her became panicked and were trying to help her. It just so happened (I don't believe in coincidences) that a pair of paramedics were right there at this store getting groceries. They were right there on seen within seconds to help this woman. As I watched all this unfold I knew the Lord had placed us all there at the right time. The paramedics for this woman but also in a small way, me. I witnessed this act and saw God working in someone else's life and moments like that touch me just as much, sometimes more, than when I see it in my own life.

So to wrap up- one store, two tender mercies and many lives blessed. The Lord is in the details.

Today I got a confirmation from the Spirit about my children being home for school. My oldest child received her best report card. She has worked so hard and come so far in these few weeks. I am so grateful for the peace I felt as I watched her excitement and knew that this was where she was supposed to be. The Lord knows each of us and He knows what is best for us. He will let us know if we listen.

Today I was inspired how to help my mother retrieve some journal entries she thought she had lost forever. I am so grateful the Lord prompted me on where to look. I know that journal entries are important. I know the Lord wants us to keep a journal. It is important and He will help in any way He can.

Today I was able to go to a ballet performance with my three oldest and my RJ. It was a great experience on the whole and I am so grateful that we had the opportunity to go. I know the prompting I had to enroll the children in an online school was a good one. I know the Lord is watching over my children and helping me to do what is best for them.

I was able to run today on the treadmill. I know the Lord prodded me to do so because He knew I needed it physically and mentally. I am so glad I was able to get it done and that the Lord made it happen. Jogging is good for Heather.

Today my oldest had her birthday. She is a blessing in my life everyday. She is my helper and my friend. The Lord showed His tender mercy to me 11 years ago when He entrusted me with one of His choice spirits. I am grateful for that confidence. She may be small and she may be active but she is perfect to me.

Today I made it to church when odds were against me. I was so grateful to get everything done and make it on time to church. I know it was the Spirit that helped kick me out of the house and got us there. I love church and I love to be there and listen and be happy. I knew I needed to take the sacrament and to renew my spirit so the nudges of the Spirit were appreciated.

Today my brother came and helped us fix our play castle in the backyard for the kids to play on. I am so grateful for the love and friendship that has been developed between my brother and his family and our family. The Lord has helped us both to grow and progress to where this bond is possible. My brother and his family has become one of our dearest group of friends.

Today I was able to have a last minute date with my husband. Totally awesome. I am so grateful the Lord put all things together to make it happen. We don't go out often because we love doing things as a family but it is really nice to get out and just be a couple sometimes.

Today I was able to use a scripture to teach a lesson. The kids learned a scripture in primary. I had totally forgotten until the Lord reminded me at the right time so I could use it to make the scriptures come alive and show that they are there to teach us.

Today I was able to get a lot done. I have been under the weather and it was so nice to have the strength to be able to do what I needed. I know I received that from the Lord along with a flare for multitasking to get the maximum out of my lower energy level. I didn't run a marathon but I did get everything done, which is also a great accomplishment.

Today I was able to make a really good soup. I am so grateful for the skill the Lord has given me in the kitchen. I am no chef and I don't claim to make the best food but the Lord has given me a talent for making good food. I can follow a recipe and improve it the next time to make it fit me and my family better. I was able to 'fix' a soup recipe today and it was very yummy. The Lord has given us so much to use to make great things and talent to make it.

Today I was able to get everything done even being in pain and having lack of energy because of a minor health issue. I am so grateful for all I got done and for the ease at which the day passed. The Lord blesses the willing at heart.

I am grateful for disagreements that end with family time because RJ and I listen to the promptings of the Spirit. We had a rough day around the house because of hyper children and some disobedience. Our weekly family dinner at my moms ended with us leaving in a huff because of our children misbehaving. RJ and I both calmed down after we got home and then talked honestly with our children and expressed our feelings and concerns for them. It ended well and we all had a good night after that. It was great. I love that the Lord will help anytime we need with a little Parental advice.
