Day 2012 of 2015

The Lord has blessed me today in my correspondence with a friend. I feel I was guided as to what to say. It was nothing overly emotional or stressful or an emergency but I felt the Spirit whisper to me what to write. I hope that it touched her heart as it did mine as I wrote it. I am so grateful for the infinite wisdom of our Father and His help in what seems to be small matters that sometimes turn out to be big matters to us. I know He loves all of His children.

Day 211 of 2015

Today I was able to give blood. I am grateful that the Lord has provided a way for us to help those who are in need when they are injured or sick. I am grateful for the opportunity that I had to go. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways, one being that I am strong and healthy, so I am so happy that He lets me share my blessing of good health with someone else.

Today I was able to stay up instead of giving up on my morning and going back to bed. It was really nice. I read my scriptures and everything before the kids even got up. I was so much more productive. I am so grateful the Lord helped me stay up and awake so I could have a good morning.

Today I was able to accomplish a project I wanted to get done. My dad gave me some material he bought years ago, so long he can't even remember when or why, to reupholster my kitchen chairs. I didn't have the money to get any and was so happy for the donation. When I got the material home I found it matched the color of my cabinets perfectly. My dad never would have known this color was what I needed since he bought the material years before I even bought my house. I am grateful that the Lord knows the little things make for order in a house and He blessed us with the material. He is always in the details.

Today we got to reconnect with some really great friends,who moved states away, tonight. It was fun to be with them and to have a wonderful evening. The Lord has put so many good people in our lives and they are a wonderful blessing. I am so grateful for the opportunity He gave us tonight to be with them.

Today was a great day. I felt the spirit so many times and could write about so many things but I think I will pick seeing my good friends at church. I came out of the chapel and was so excited to see them there! I am so grateful the Lord had me come out at that moment so I could see them and have their little girl come with me to primary. Our friendship has grown with this couple over the past year and I am so grateful for it. The Lord has blessed us to have gained wonderful friends who I hope stay good friends for life.

Today the Lord blessed us with beautiful weather for our family reunion.  It was cool in the shade instead of just less hot and the general temperature was pleasant. We had a great time.

Today was a great day. The Lord blessed our family with a down day that we really needed. We had no plans and nowhere we had to be. We got to stay home and enjoy each other for the most part of the day. I am grateful for these little times where the Lord blesses us to slow down and to breathe.

Forgot to post this yesterday, sorry! So, I was blessed with help with my attitude. I silently prayed for help to better my mood. Hormones cause me to be a bit short. I wanted help so that I could have a good day and not upset other people's day. The Lord blessed me with comfort and joy so that I could improve my attitude. Today was a good day.

I am so grateful for the rain to water my garden. Along with that, the Lord gave me some wonderful shade as I worked outside today for 2 hours before the rain. It made it easier with the cloud cover. I love when the Lord blesses us with rain and cooler temps in the summer.

Today I had energy to accomplish what I needed to even though I have not been sleeping well. I was even able to exercise. I know this came from the Lord and I am very grateful!

Today we found an item for RJ that he has wanted for awhile but we couldn't afford. We found it for $8. I know the Lord led us to it because of His love and Him wanting to reward RJ for being a good son. The Lord is always waiting to reward us, not punish us and He is very happy when He gets opportunity. I am grateful for His love for my family and for helping me to help them be happy.

Day 200 of 2015

I am so grateful today for a wonderful husband that will take my kids and let me sleep. I have had people overload over the past two months and today I am just tired. Another fun weekend with family and friends but very tiring emotionally for me. I am exhausted. The Lord blessed me with a wonderful husband who is taking the kids and putting them to bed so I can go to bed early. What a blessing. I am so grateful the Lord prompted him to let me rest. I am falling asleep as I write this even. The Lord is wonderful and my husband's my favorite blessing.

Today we had a sweet experience with our oldest that only came because of promptings from the Spirit to talk with her. She has much anxiety for one so small and it gives us opportunities to bond with her and help her often. I am so grateful for the Spirit and its whisperings.

Today I was grateful for time to think on some passed blessings given to our family. I was grateful the Lord blessed me with this time of silence to reflect and to read. I enjoyed the spirit I felt and the love of the Lord.

Today was fun. My oldest had some family questionnaires that she asked my parents. It was fun watching her interview them and seeing their responses. I am grateful the Lord gave me such a sweet daughter to enjoy and be with as her 'assistant' while she was the 'investigator'. I am truly blessed with the posterity I have.

I am blessed to have cousins near by for my kids to play with. The Lord blessed me with family close. My kids loved having a play date with their cousin up at his house today. I know they will have more fun with him on other days. Family is ordained of God and such a blessing to have.

Today I was able to type a blessing I had received. I am so grateful for the technology that the Lord has given us so that I can record my blessings. I never remember all of what is said so I love to go back and type it up. I learn from the blessings everything I read them. I am so grateful for the priesthood that the Lord has given His children.

Today I was helped by my 2nd mom on a errand that needed to be done. I would not have been able to do it without her. I am so grateful that the Lord prompted me to call her and that He gave me such a great mom to help me.

Today I was able to listen to my cousin speak. He is such a sweet boy. I am amazed at how the Lord works in the lives of others and the good that is still to be had among His children. I am grateful He blessed me with the opportunity to listen to my cousin and for His spirit in the meeting.

Today I was blessed with further knowledge about someone who has passed on and who is very dear to me. I was so relieved and grateful to hear what I did and it brings get comfort to my soul. I am grateful for the Lord blessing us with knowledge.

Today I was blessed in many ways. First, it is my 8th wedding anniversary. 8 years and I still can't get enough of him. Also, RJ was able to get the day off so we got to spend time as a family. We were able to have dinner with Mimi, which has been our tradition for 5 years now. Every time I turned around we were being blessed by something. It was a great day.

I am so grateful for all the rain the Lord has blessed us with. It has watered our very dry land and has cooled temperatures. I am so grateful for the love He has for not only His children but all His creations. He is a very loving God.

I am very grateful for the love of God for everyone. I am grateful that the Lord gives us opportunities to change and also to watch the change of heart in others. The Lord has blessed me with a friend who I am able to watch make baby's steps back to the path of the Gospel. It is a miracle to see the changes in her and those around her. She had surgery today and the blessing she received before hand has come to pass. The Lord truly does love everyone.

I am grateful for the sealing power and that my family is sealed together forever. I am grateful for the emotional bond which it creates with my family and I. I was speaking with my brother about this subject today as he recently got married and it just reminded me how blessed I really am to be with my family forever. God loves families.

I am very grateful for family. I am so very blessed to live by so many of them. Today I got to see both sets of my parents, my grandmother, three of my brothers, two of my sisters, one of my nephews and a very close cousin who is like a brother. All in one day. I amazed at how blessed I am to be able to do all of that on a normal day. No special family gathering or reunion, just saying Hi. The Lord knew where I would be happiest and I am glad I listened.

Today I recieved a blessing along with my mother. We both are a little sad because of my brother. Joe would have turned 41 today. He got to have his party in heaven. The blessings RJ was prompted to give made us both feel better. I am grateful for that because it is also my nieces birthday and that is a celebration. We wanted to be happy for her day. I am grateful for the comfort the Lord gave us so that we didn't waste our day on regrets.

Today I am very grateful for this wonderful, beautiful, free country the Lord has blessed me to live in all my life. The 4th of July will always hold a special place in my heart because it reminds me of all the great blessings I have living in this country. I am only here and we only have these freedoms because of the grace and blessing of the Lord. God bless America!

Today I was able to go to the store without children. This was so very nice. I usually only get it once a week but I cherish time with my mom with no kids. I am grateful the Lord blessed me with the opportunity to go today. We had a good time.

I am very blessed. I was thinking and discussing with my husband tonight about how blessed we are. We do not have new cars, we did not buy a house in good condition, we have 4 children (who take a lot of money to raise), we don't have high paying jobs, etc. By world standards we should be miserable and poor and living off of the state. We are not. We are independent, we are happy, we are optimistic. The Lord has blessed and sustained us through so much and has never turned from us but always toward us. My heart swells with how much gratitude I have for all I have. The Lord truly does bless those who obey and follow Him.

Today I am grateful for peace when I need it. I was having a conversation and someone said something that in past years would have bothered me but today I felt immediate peace and a confidence that all was well. I am grateful for those times when I receive the Comforter and am at peace.
