Day 180 of 2015

Today the Lord helped me find a set of keys that we don't have doubles for. They go to the locks on our fence to the garden. We keep it locked so the kids and dogs can't get in. I lost them outside and was prompted as to where to look for them, which is good since there was a lot of places to look.

Day 179 of 2015

Today I was able to listen to our Stake Pres. speak and that is always a good thing. He is such a great man and he has a wonderful testimony. He can bring the Spirit into a meeting or just strengthen it. I am very blessed to have such a humble servant petitioning the Lord on my behave. I am also grateful for the witness I have received that this man is truly one of the Lord chosen.

Today I had a get together for my Sunday school kids and it went great. The Lord blessed me with these wonderful kids to be friends with and I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to be their teacher. I am so grateful for all who came and the fun time the Lord blessed us with.

Sorry, I apparently forgot to post for yesterday. So here it is.

I am grateful that the Lord has provided us with family that we were not born with. Family that we can choose. Some call them friends but mine I call family. I have one such friend that we have adopted as one of our brothers. He is making a life long choice by getting married and I couldn't be more happy for him. He invited us to the family dinner before hand and we were honored to go and support him. I am grateful the Lord has placed him in our life.

I was inspired on what to say to help my niece calm down from a emotional situation. I was grateful for the help from above and again reminded of how happy and blessed I was to have such good parents in my teenage years.

I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father that has taught me how to work and to enjoy working. I am trying to teach this principle to my children and I know I got some of my ethic from my parents but I also know the Lord gave me the gift of doing a job and wanting it done right. My husband calls it OCD but whatever it is makes me a better person and harder worker for it so I am grateful.

So many of my posts are the same, well the same type of tender mercy that the Lord blesses me with. Most of the time the tender mercies are simple and not life altering in and of themselves. That is one things above all that I have had my testimony strengthened of these last almost 2 years I have done this. The Lord is in our lives everyday making small miracles happen that when stacked together make our lives happy and enriched. Tender mercies from the Lord can be as simple as someone in the store being prompted to smile at you when your day is bad, very simple but has a huge impact on your day. So, sorry if you don't like my redundancy but this is what makes my life. The small, simple everyday ways the Lord is there. Today it was just the simple whisperings of how to comfort my child who was crying. I am a seasoned mother of 4. I do this everyday but everyday I know I am given the strength, patience and knowledge I need to be the best I can be. The Lord always takes something and makes it better.

Day 173 of 2015

I had a prompting pop in my head as to something special for my last lesson on Sunday and I shared it with my team teacher, who is also being released, and she had had the same prompting and she isn't even going to be there Sunday! I love when you get a witness of the sweet whisperings of the Spirit by someone else get the same prompting. It was another testimony to me that this team teacher and I were inspired to work together and that we tried our best. I will really miss working with her.

Day 172 of 2015

Today I got released from a calling and called to a new one. I am grateful for the experience I had with being called. I was given a confirmation and know this was my path. The Lord blessed me to be at peace with the change before I even knew what to think. I really wanted to be sad and wallow but it just didn't come. I feel the Lord's love and I know this new calling will be very challenging but I also know it is where I need to be.

Today I was able to go to a reunion for my husband's side of the family and I felt the spirit whisper to me, as it does so often, how important family is. Family is the framework of life and happiness. Family is the work of a lifetime. I am so grateful the Lord has blessed me with this knowledge and with the wonderful family I have.

Today I was able to spend time with my niece. I love that girl. I have been part of taking care of her all of her life. She is like a daughter to me. I was grateful to spend time with her today and that the Lord has sent her to our family.

Today I made it to the temple. I love that place! It is so peaceful and wonderful. All the people there are happy and nice. It's what I imagine a bit of heaven is. I am so grateful that the Lord helped to make it possible. My mom took me and my other mom watched my kids. It was a great start to the day.

Today I was kept sane when my day didn't go as planned. I know the patience and the energy I did receive was from the Lord. He stepped in and helped me to be a better person than I normally am.

Day 167 of 2015

Today I saved lots of money by being promoted to go to another store for what we needed. Our house  gets very hot in the summer and we don't have central air. So to make everyone more comfortable we have fans all over the house. Last year we had to retire them because after four years of constant use three months out of the year they died. It was time to get some more. By being promoted to go to a different store for my purchase I saved over $45. I am very grateful for the Lord always looking out for my budget.

Day 166 of 2015

Today I felt impressed to mow our lawn for RJ. He was going to do it tonight but I wanted to make it be one less thing he had to think of. The feeling didn't leave me alone so I went out and did it. Wasn't planning on it when the day began but when a prompting pushes you, you do it. I am very grateful for it because we had a wonderful time at his brother's house for FHE and so we stayed later than we normally do on a weeknight and it started to downpour and thunder. He wouldn't have gotten it done. Is it something small. Yes but it meant something to him. So I am very grateful the Lord prompted me to do it.

Today we had a beautiful Sunday school lesson on the temple and how important it is. I am so grateful for the Lord pouring out His spirit during the lesson and for the joy I felt. The temple of the Lord is one of the best places to be.

Day 161, 162, 163 and 164 of 2015

I have been on vacation with no wifi so I am sorry for not posting daily but I do have a post for each day and will combine them all here.

Day 160- We had a little miracle. We have a hole in one of the skylights in our trailer. RJ taped it before we left but after the drive it had blown off and the hole was exposed. I saw it that morning and thought, 'I hope it doesn't rain.' Well, it poured while we were out driving. We were not anywhere near our trailer. We got back and we were making dinner when I looked up and saw that the repair was in place and no water had entered our trailer. I asked RJ when he had fixed it and he stated he hadn't. No one touched our roof...yet the tape was now back over the hole and had made it so no water entered our trailer during the down pour. I know Who fixed it. I am very grateful.

Day 161- I was inspired to try something with an iPhone and some binoculars. The Lord put the idea in my head and I went with it. Because of that I got footage and pictures of a black bear and her two cubs from about a quarter mile away on my phone. iPhones have bad zoom for far away. I had the camera pointed through the binoculars and it worked. I couldn't leave the car to go get closer so this was a tender mercy to be able to record this for my kids to see since they couldn't see the bear at all. The Lord made our vacation very fun.

Day 162- We had a run in with a bison on our Boardwalk. I was carrying our youngest in a pack on my back and would not have been able to get away easily. The bison decided to walk on and then block our path without warning. We couldn't get away and just stood there waiting to see what it was going to do. It finally left the path and left us alone. I believe harm might have come to someone on that Boardwalk had the Lord not intervened. I am so grateful He is there to help us when we are with some of His wonderful creations.

Day 163- We have made it home safe and our car lasted the whole trip with not one single problem. This is a miracle because our car is old and has many miles. It also does not have a huge engine to be pulling a trailer with. The Lord I know blessed our car to work properly. I know prayers are answered and that the Lord helps us even on leisurely activities. He knows we need the time to relax and de-stress.

I am grateful for the Lord being with us our whole trip. I know it was enjoyable and a great experience because of Him. Without His help we would have been left to our own devices and that never works out well for me. I am very blessed.

Day 160 of 2015

Today I got to Costco right as they opened and was the first in line to leave. This was amazing and awesome since I had lots to do and I needed to get back home. A trip to Costco there and back in 15 minutes, I say, is a tender mercy.

Today we received some funds for our vacation this summer. I have been praying for a way that we could still go with our family. A vacation for a family of 6 is not cheap. I am so very grateful for the Lord hearing my prayers and for the wonderful people who responded to the prompting and were able to help out.

Today I felt the Spirit as I taught my lesson and I am so grateful for that. I prayed for Him to fill my mouth and He did. It pays to have a great Instructor.

Today we got a lot done. I am grateful for the trailer the Lord promoted us to buy. I am grateful for a fully working body with strong muscles that the Lord gave me and a testimony of hard work. I am grateful for great neighbors who are willing to help when needed. I am grateful for the Holy Ghost's promptings so I could help a neighbor today. The Lord is truly in the little things of life.

Day 156 of 2015

I am grateful for days with play and fun. I am grateful the Lord blessed me with such a wonderful family. My husband is so great with our kids. They all sword fought with daddy today and had a blast. The Lord blessed our family with a bond and love that I cherish. Now, it has not come easy. We have worked at it but with the Lord's help and with His blessing we have become strong and we are wonderfully connected.

Day 155 of 2015

Today I am happy with what my body can do. I was jogging around my mother's neighborhood and I was honestly thinking of how I looked and what others might be thinking of me. Then the Spirit spoke to me and let me know that I was very blessed because I could jog around the neighborhood. I was physically able to do so. Some are not that blessed. Also, I have worked on my endurance. I am strong. I may have some cushion over that muscle but I am getting better. So I finished my jog with gratitude for the blessings the Lord has given me with a strong and healthy body.

Today I was inspired when making a recipe. That seems little I know but it makes it even cooler to me. I wanted to make something and I set out to do it. I hit a wall and the Lord let me know how to get around it. He is even concerned when I am making a recipe. What a wonderful Father we have. He is concerned about wars and global disasters but still takes the time to be one on one with His children and help them with little things.

Day 153 of 2015

Today I was very grateful for the little watch phones that the Lord inspired us to get for our kids. I send it to school with them everyday. If they don't answer after 10 rings it answers automatically. My oldest forgot to call me and tell me she got to school okay and so I called the phone and she didn't hear it so it answered itself but I could hear her at the school talking with her friends. The phone also has a gps in it so I tracked her and she was on the school grounds. This gave me great comfort. These little watches have been a great investment and I am so very grateful the Lord prompted us to get them.
