Day 151 of 2015

Today I was very glad that I responded to the prompting to not stay home with my sick kids and let RJ take care of that while I went to church. Not only was I needed there but four of my Sunday school kids talked today in sacrament. I would have been so sad if I had missed them. I know that it was a tender mercy pushing me out the door. I am so very grateful that I went and that the Lord gave me the little push I needed.

Today I saw tender mercies when I went grocery shopping. Almost everything we needed was on sale and I saved a lot of money. I am so grateful to the Lord for looking out for the little things.

Today I am grateful for patience far beyond my capacity. My littlest one has been sick and even though I have been frustrated with how much I have not gotten done the Lord has calmed my heart and nerves and helped me to be calm with my little one. It surprises me every time with how disagreeable they can be. I should not be surprised but I am. As a mother of four I am very grateful to the Lord for the added attention on my part.

Day 148 of 2015

A blessing that has been ongoing in my life for a year is my niece's 180. She has totally changed. She went from having f's and an IED in school to no IED and has gotten a 4.0. She was student of the week. We just went to an award ceremony for the graduates of her middle school and she was one of the ones chosen to speak. The Lord has blessed her life so much and I am so grateful for the answer to prayer and fasting. I do have to say she kept her spunk during her speech though...she took a selfie of herself and the crowd when she got done. That's my girl. I cherish her and am so grateful to see the Lord in her life and His answer to many prayers on her behave.

Today I was able to go to a performance of the Vista Voices. It is the choir that my sister is in for school. This was her last performance because she has graduated. I can not say enough how cute and special these kids are. The performance was really great. I am so grateful the Lord blessed us with loved ones with imperfect bodies so that through them our spirits can come a little closer to becoming perfect.

Today the Lord prompted my body at 4:00 am to wake up. I was about to drift back to sleep when my mom texted me. She needed me to watch my brother while she took my dad to the hospital. I would not have heard her text if I hadn't been awake. I am so grateful that the Lord woke me up so I could be there for my mom and dad.

Today we commemerate a way that God's hand is present in all our lives everyday. Those who have helped to keep this nation free and that have sacrificed so much to protect us. The Lord gives these men and women wisdom and courage to do a job that no one should have to do. The Lord has blessed our lives with so many willing to give their own life to make ours better. In doing so they emulate our Savior, willing to lay down their lives for their friends. I am so grateful I live in this nation and I have the freedoms I do. God bless America and all who protect her!

Today I was able to talk to a lot of good people. The Lord has blessed me with a good neighborhood and a good support system of friends. I am very grateful for the association I have with all of these good people and the joy they bring into my life. The Lord has opened up my heart and eyes to other people and their goodness. Because I enjoyed today and talking with everyone, that shows how far I have come and how far the Lord has stretched me. I am grateful for all the chances I have to grow.

Today our family got an amazing deal on something our family needed. RJ was inspired to go and ask about it and got the best price because the man selling it was a friend. I am so grateful that RJ followed the prompting and we got something that we have needed for a while. I know the Lord loves me.

Today was a good day. No major melt downs, all the work got done, had a pizza party with family, RJ made me homemade donuts... The Lord blessed me this day with so many wonderful things. I am so grateful!

Being a mom is hard. Sometimes you have to show restraint and not rush in and solve the problems of your kids. My oldest has had a problem with a bullies for most of her school career. Not the same one every year but she is small and shy so she is a prime target. Today she called to tell me she had another run in with one of the bullies. The Lord filled my mind with what to say and how to console her and help talk her through a solution. I am so grateful for the added inspiration and the love of my Father for me and my child. She returned home in better spirits. The bullies will never leave but I know that the Lord will strengthen her to be strong enough to handle them.

Today I was able to attend a graduation for some special needs students (one of them being my sister). I am so impressed with the Spirit that is present with them. These are very special people and I love to be there and feel their love and excitement one for another. I know that they have angels near them and that they are so special to our Father. I am grateful for the opportunity and I am very blessed that I have two of these special spirits in my life daily. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways through them.

Today I felt impressed to write a letter to someone. I don't know why exactly but I could feel the Lord putting the phrases in my head to use. It is comforting to me to know that I can have help no matter what I do, even writing a letter. The Lord truly is in the little things.

Today I was up more than I have been in the past week. My bowels are working again and I have been able to eat more. I am so grateful for priesthood blessings and for the promises they give. I am grateful for the faith of my husband that has helped my blessing come to fruitation. I know the Lord has been with me. Being sick is not fun but I know that I would not survive without the help of the Lord.

Today we got a new bishopric in our ward. The Lord gave me a sweet confirmation that they were men called of God to do His work. I had a very sweet peace come over me. I am so grateful for modern revelation and for priesthood power.

Today I was given the strength to go to a mother daughter activity with my oldest. I know without the Lord's help I never would have made it and I wouldn't have been able to participate. I am so grateful for the energy I was given. Also, the Lord showed my husband a leak we have in the roof which we can now fix before it gets any worse. He also blessed us with a kind brother who dropped his Saturday movie to come last second and help put a tarp on our roof so that no more water came in. The Lord is very good to us everyday. I feel truly blessed.

The Lord blessed me with the strength to go to the store which I really needed to go and get groceries. He, again, blessed me with a loving mother to take care of me and help with the kids. I really hope to kick this soon. Not fun but I know the Lord is with me.

Today I have been blessed with an angel mother who has taken care of me and my children while I have been sick. She came and got my girls ready and took us to her house so she could watch them and take care of me. The Lord blessed me with a wonderful mother who blesses me daily.

Today the Lord blessed me with calm children so that I could rest. I hate the flu and it has taken it all out of me. I am so grateful the Lord blessed me that I could rest today and still take care of my children. He also blessed me with a wonderful husband who has attended my every need and given me a priesthood blessing. The blessings have just been adding up and I am very grateful.

Today the Lord saved the head of my two year old. I was in the play room looking for something while she was playing. I was standing over her when all the sudden a heavy toy fell from off a shelf. My arm was out reaching for something so this heavy toy hit my arm and gave me enough time to catch it before it fell on my little girl. My catch was also miraculous because I am not feeling well today and am thinking slowly. I am very grateful the Lord sent me into the play room so that I could be there to save her from injury. It is very good to be on good terms with One who knows all.

Today my in laws had to put their dog to sleep. He was old and and his body was failing him. I am so grateful to the Lord for comforting and granting peace to our family on this hard day. It is comforting to know that the Lord mourns with us for our little Lucky and that even though he was a dog and not a human the Lord understands that the bond was similar. It is like losing a member of your family. I am grateful for the gift of the comforter to be there for us and for my in laws. I can feel the love and peace from them that they can feel the Lord with them as well.

I have been blessed with super mother's. I must have done something super good to receive the women in my life that I have. With RJ's grandma that has taken me as her own and my mother and my mother in law, I have an abundance of great woman to be with now. I have had many in the past that have moved on to take care of me from a distance, from their home now in Heaven. Many great woman have shaped who I am today and who I want to be. I am so grateful to the Lord this day for all the wonderful woman and mother figures in my life.

I fell asleep last night so I am doing the post now.

I love the rain. I love how it washes the earth and brings life. I sat out in a major rain storm with my husband and my mom and just enjoyed nature. The Lord blesses us each time it rains. I am so grateful for the quiet time I had to enjoy while He let rain fall.

The beauty of the Lord's creations amaze me anew every time I go to the mountains. I love the beauty of nature and the raw beauty the is expressed in the mountains. I am grateful for the Lord creating such beauty for me to enjoy. I am up in His glorious mountains and feel close to Him. He is always near but here maybe I listen a little better.

I have panic attacks in thunderstorms. I have for some time. Today I made it through the storm while listening to Hymns. I am so grateful the Lord gave us uplifting music to brighten our spirits and help us through hard times. They gave me peace.

I love a good family history story. I sat with my parents tonight and had a blast listening to stories of their childhood. I am so grateful the Lord has seen fit to let me have my parents for so long. They are not old but so many things could have happened that could have taken them. I am grateful for both of them and that I have a good relationship with them. The Lord has blessed me with goodly parents.

Today I was able to talk to a sweet mother today who is trying her best to help her daughter. She is doing all she can for her family. I am grateful that the Lord prompted me to talk to her. I think it helped ease her burdens and I know it helped give me guidance. The Lord really has a plan for all of us and if we but listen He will surly guide us.

I finished an amazing book today. I LOVE IT and would recommend it to anyone who truly believes that Jesus Christ is our Savior. The book is called, The Miracle of Forgiveness by Spencer W. Kimball. I am so glad that the Lord inspired Pres. Kimball to write this book. It really spoke to me about how important our Savior is in our everyday lives and how EVERYONE needs Him daily, whether you have small sins or they be as red as scarlet. We all need to call upon our Savior and repent. I was very touched.

Today I was able to take some pictures that I have wanted to. The Lord knows how important family pictures and stuff are to me. He made it possible for me to get some really cute pictures I wanted in the time I wanted. I didn't even miss one church meeting. I am very grateful. The Lord is in the little

I love good friends. The Lord blessed us tonight with a really good time with some good friends. We laughed and talked and our kids played. It was very relaxed and fun. I am so grateful for all the people the Lord places in my life right at the time I need them. Friends are a great blessing from the Lord!

Today I was able to go see our cousin graduate from university. I was so grateful for the opportunity to do this. The Lord has helped preserve the relationship we have with this cousin. There have been hurt feelings in the family and things said. I am so grateful the Lord has helped prompt us to know what to say and do to help this cousin feel our love and our support. I am so proud of his hard work and his dedication. He is a great guy and I am grateful the Lord gave him to our family.
